When Spotlight was originally released for OS X I was pretty excited and I would show people that it really could find just any file and how easy it was to use. About 3 months or so after Tiger came out I didn’t even bother with it or talking about it. I was a very very neat person I never let clutter happen.
As I obtained more machines and really started working with my Macs I had things all over the place. For the last 2-3 months I’ve been using Spotlight constantly. even when I have the application in my dock I will still use the Spotlight hot key to access those applications. It’s become something I really almost rely on to function now! Of course I am still trying to clean up my files and make thing organized but it sure makes working in and around OS X quicker.
They also have some nifty plug-ins that you can download to extend the functionality of Spotlight. I liked the Google one.
Just another reason why Mac OS X kick Microsoft ass!

| Transmit & Secure Sites |

I must have missed out on this feature implementation or maybe it’s been there since I started using transmit (which is quite some time now). Apparently they now offer (or have always offered) the ability to connect to secure FTP sites. They offer FTP with Implicit SSL and FTP with TLS/SSL.
But now that I’ve tested and seen this all work with Transmit, I think I am almost ready to kiss Windows goodbye.
Not only does Transmit support those features but it really has a whole boatload of other great things. It’s the FTP client I always recommend to people when they’re looking for one and now I’ve got even more reason too.
Check them out on Panic’s website.
