School & Stuff... [20 Oct 2007|03:52pm] [ mood | busy ] [ music | // Alkaline Trio - "Another Innocent Girl" // ] I won't even bother making an excuse, you know I've been busy with all my crap. Kitty is doing much better as I reported last time. She still has a few coughs and stuff but she's generally fine. Perl class went pretty well, my script ran fine and did quite well even though the teacher was like I don't understand these Unix commands you're running through it. The command was 'uptime'. I am not sure why he didn't understand it, what do you think running the command 'uptime' would output when run on the computer?? Maybe the uptime of the computer?? Haha Oh well, well also got into PHP which I can't wait to start. It's definitely going to be cool, especially when we mix it with MySQL. I beat Episode 2. I was highly impressed with it and I cannot wait for Episode 3. The last fighting part was a lot of fun and it had me scrambling all over the place. I thought fighting one strider was good times, but 12 is even better, until they blow you up. So now I have to play through Portal, but that won't be for a bit. Greg's been raving about how great Phantom Hourglass is and he actually played through it already, so I couldn't help but get myself a copy. I also got the players guide, will save me some frustration when I get into the game. Like Portal, it'll be some time before I pick it up. I started playing Wind Waker again. I went through and got the 2nd of 3 Pearls. It's definitely a fun game, I just haven't had much time lately to spend on gaming. Morgan (W) and I got the new server up and running. It's got a Gentoo base, and then we've got VMWare-Server running with Debian going in there. So it's esentially 2 servers in one physical box. I'll geek out more about that on my Horse.13 blog. I just installed Growl cause I like how it works with Twitterrific and Mail...it's really great. There is a little fix you have to do so that Mail works, I am surprised the 'extra' package hasn't been updated to work with it...kinda lame, but meh. I just went through all my music and gave them better genre tagging. Didn't really take that long either. I am sure a lot of it still needs some work though. emilie and I re-arraged the apartment today. I have an extra 32" HDTV if anyone wants to buy one Samsung, $800. So yeah, it's taken me like 3 hours to write this entry cause I keep getting interrupted. One of thr Warcraft realms went down, etc...time to go play some Wind Waker or something... post comment
