We took a trip to Cornwall yesterday and had our first swimming trip. I don't think Marietta much liked playing in the water, but the sand was quite enjoyable! She had loads of fun digging and piling and throwing and eating sand. The last was quite discouraged but she did it anyways. Gran and Granddad insisted that it would not hurt her in the least and had quite the time playing with her. No mention at all of Marcus, I think they're tottering between joy and anger over everything that happened but, can't be sure really.

I know! My little baby, Clara! She's getting so big and old! All her babbling and--ohhh, she started a big string of da's the other night and that really made me cry but no string of ma's yet. Just dadadadadada over and over and over.

Well that's annoying-- Gawww! Marcus will be nine months tomorrow, I feel like making a cake! Or at least cupcakes. That might get a bit tedious, though, making a cake for every month?

Cupcakes! Just, no frosting because it's a bugger to clean up. Marietta is 2 weeks off. I can't believe how close to each other they are in age!

well, you had a much easier time at it, not giving birth or dealing with a deadbea-- Heeeee. And Marietta is so glad she's got an almost-cousin since she won't be getting any younger siblings anytime soon or maybe ever
