maybe some talk here about their time at Hogwarts tra la lalalalaa

Elliot and Elsie have known each other for a really long time and have only been in love for a short portion of it. Before Elliot's mother died, he wasn't so much of a loner as he was the quiet bloke in class, so there weren't many relationships built. After Eleanor's suicide, his persona changed drastically and he found himself unable to control his anger and unfortunately it was mostly directed at Elsie. She was smart, kind, and beautiful, and seemingly had everything Elliot didn't. He refused to acknowledge her good deeds for him and even furthermore ignored the simmering crush he harbored for her. They left Hogwarts and he figured he'd never see her again.

Nope. Nora Peakes, a mutual friend, set the two up on a date five years after graduation. Elliot's temper had simmered down and unfortunately Elsie's life had become a bit jaded with the loss of her father. They managed to have a decent evening and began slowly, regularly seeing each other. What started off as something moving at its own, steady pace, turned into a whirlwind when Elliot was bitten and nearly killed by a werewolf. The ramifications of the event sent him spiraling, but Elsie never left his side.

They're both stubborn and Elliot does sometimes still feel selfish and guilty for bringing Elsie into the mess that is his life. He finds himself still jealous of her old boyfriends, knowing that she could be living a mostly carefree life if she'd decided not to stay with him. But she did, and he couldn't live without her.

They were married later that same year and even though their life is hard, they seem to fall more and more in love with each other as each day passes.

While Eliza went silent, Elliot got angry when their mother died. He was starting his fifth year when his mother committed suicide, and he fought long and hard not to get on the Hogwarts Express that September. His mother had died only two weeks prior, and he was expected to go to school and do his homework like nothing was wrong? Professor McGonagall sat down with Elliot and his sister to give them some sort of counseling, but Elliot's anger at his father for seemingly not caring forced him to push away any sort of sympathy. Along with the fact that Eliza had reverted so deep into herself that it was causing her to be teased by her classmates, Elliot had a lot of reasons to be angry and get into fights. Not that he ever won, but his short temper did push back the idiot first years pestering his sister.



He's deathly loyal to Eliza, almost to the point where it seemed like he dislikes her. It's nothing like that, but he's so very protective that any decision she might make that could end up badly is blown out of proportion by Elliot.
