But you could always say that your wand was a stick that you've been whittling for years and that you are making it into the perfect shape, and then if they asked, "And what shape is it?," you would say that you're still working that out, and they would love you so much that they would give you more supper and let it be!
I make them when I'm home, at least once or twice, but Mum doesn't like having them around, she says they are entirely too tempting for her, which I think means she needs them all the time! I'm a much better cook on a Muggle stove, maybe because I was raised on it? It's just a lot of fun--oh! You should help pour the batter, you'll love it!
My favourite colour is polka dots of all colours...especially bright ones, but even dour navy has its place, don't you think?
