"NO. NO SAY. NO SAY. Bad come forth. BAD COME FORTH. SIN from the light on the very night!"

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry." Savannah was gentle and calm in her tone but she still approached the vagrant man cautiously. He was very twitchy and had hugged himself back into a corner of the alley. The buildings were close so the little light that snuck down on them indirectly from the sun was decidedly grey and casts shadows all around what Savannah realized (from the looks of the overturned barrel with a tattered blanket inside) was probably Conall's home. Her lips pressed into a thin line as she gently laid cool hand to a dark bruise on his scruffy face, causing the pummeled man to flinch.

"It's okay," she repeated once more with a reassuring nod - only to gasp in alarm when the man suddenly embraced her to his chest with surprising force. He immediately began to whimper like he might soon cry. Though her nerves were still on edge, she slowly raised her arms to drape around his neck and return the hug. Savannah continued to whisper soothing hushes as he wept.
