Why haven't I written in here for a while? What have I been doing? I am embarrassed to say that I have been doing nothing. NOTHING. Pitiful, yeah?

During the Christmas break, I have been reduced to attending horrific family reunions and forced to mingle with the people who claim to be related to me. I'm usually superb at putting up a good face in social affairs, but when a cluster of big hairy middle aged men and women who carry chickens for pets come up to you and claim to be your distant cousins THEN demand that you clog dance with them, one tends to shy away from any chance to socialize.

Its a new year, already? I haven't really noticed. Happy New year, everyone. What have you all been up to? I've been away from people for so long, I believe. Don't get me wrong, I love my sister's company- I just think a change of atmosphere would be lovely. I'd want to do something nice once we get back to school. I think I have fairly good marks in Charms and Transfiguartion. Would anyone need a tutor of sorts? I'd be more than willing to offer my valuable services.

Again, as you all already know, I suck at advertising myself. Now, lets move on.

I got to spend time with a new baby? He's only about 6 months and spits everywhere, but I think you take the cake make.

I could use a bit of help in Charms if you're up for it?

Big hairy cousins > Spitting baby
Yes. I win in this round. How about a little sympathy though, mate? I have mental images of what my cousins called 'dancing' that would haunt me for all eternity. Oh, the jiggling flesh...

Oh, of course. I'd love to help! When are you free during the weekdays? Or would you rather have our session during the weekends?

Well I don't have cousins so I suppose that is true.

Ouch, yes sympathy now.

I'm pretty much free anytime.

No cousins? ... how can you not have cousins? I find this odd. Though because of my recent encounters, I conclude that you're the fortunate one.

THANK YOU. At least someone sympathizes. My sister just finds it funny and laughs at my face. Isn't she a darling?

Alright then. You arrange our first meeting. I think the library would be a suitable location... What do you think?

I don't have any aunts or uncles, both of my parents were only children. And so was I until about 7 months ago. Go figure.

Sounds like she loves you a lot. It could be worse though mate? She could be shoving it into your face? Or shoving your face into certain previously mentioned hairy body parts?

Library sounds good. I'm free tonight if you are?

Nice. But trust me, it feels good to have a little sibling. Girl or boy, by the way?

She does. And good Merlin, you've just taken things to an entirely new level and shoved me in a very DARK place. Nice going. I might not be able to sleep tonight...

Since you've just eliminated any chance of me getting a good night's rest, I am, actually. Where would you want to meet up? Diagon?

Boy, Aaron. He's loud and spits a lot, usually over me. It's fantastic. Not really.

Sorry about that mate. I'll make it up to you.

Sure, Florean Fortescue's? I'll buy you one as a sorry and a thanks.

Then... spit... on Aaron? Ok, no. That wasn't very good advice from a fellow big brother. Don't spit on him. Just ask him to aim somewhere else? or you can carry a bucket with you at all times.

I'm not the best at the advice department, it seems.
Oh, I'm expecting you to.

You just read my mind. Sounds perfect! I'll meet you there at what time?

Oh I wish I could, I did almost drop him though, which was not good.

Actually I usually just go shirtless when I hold him. Easier to get it of off skin than clothing.

Say five or so?

Drop him? Oh, be careful. That's not good at all.

... interesting. I see. Away with you, hot mental images! I agree. Those baby stains can be such a bitch.

Sounds good. I'll see you then, I suppose.

I was trying to avoid Mum and her steaming platters of food and then I tripped over one of the toys and it was not good. I ended up on the floor, bruised bum, crying baby(Or is he a toddler now? Dunno oh well) and wounded ego. It was not pleasant.

They are a bit. So usually I just clean off my shoulder and throw a shirt back on. And then of course nine times out of then I'm in the line of vomit and so have to remove said shirt again. It's an experience alright.

See you too.

It doesn't sound pleasant at all. At least he's alright?
And bruised bum? You poor thing. Someone should massage that to make it better...

Indeed. Your mother must be going nuts with the laundry load she has right now. All those soiled shirts. I sympathize, really. I'll teach you a Charm that might help. Water repelling charms might help with that predicament... I'm sure it will help with the drool. For the vomit... I'm not so sure. It depends on the... consistency I suppose?

This is an awfully odd topic.

He's alright yeah. It does hurt a bit still.

Actually I have to do my own, which is what makes it worse. Those charms would be helpful. And he's started to eat solid food so it's a bit..chunkier than usual.

Could be worse I suppose.

Oh, that's good. Yes, someone should definitely massage that cute bum of yours.

Really? I feel for you. And yes, I think it would be very useful. I'll definitely put it at the top of my list of Charms to teach you. Oh Sweet Merlin, chunkier? I think that bucket I said before is in order...

Yes. I could elaborate on my cousins again, but because I just ate, I'd rather not.

That sounds like a plan to me. But as we need to study I don't think it'll be in the books tonight.

Well I suppose it is for good when I finally get kicked out of the house. Thanks mate, it's much appreciated. It has gotten a bit interesting around the house, but he's supposed to stop soon and I won't see him till summer hols so he'll almost be a year then so it's all good.

I don't think I want to know anymore thanks.

Well, you have to admit, it was a very good suggestion at least? Sore bums are a huge inconvenience.

You're welcome. Interesting you say? Well, keep your fingers crossed that he'll stop by then. My little sister was a bit of a drooler herself when she was younger and it lasted passed her first year. I remember she even had one of those hard plastic bibs with a big scoop in the front for... yes, you guessed it, the saliva. For my little sister, the cloth variety for bibs are NOT enough. How about suggesting that to your mother?

You shouldn't want to.

It was a good suggestion. They really are.

That sounds...lovely? I guess you could say if you were nice. I'll give him a fair chance and then I'll suggest that to her.

I think you did a fine job of your self-advert. I was so lazy, I can't even pretend that I didn't do anything but watch telly, eat Mrs. Weasley's food, play Quidditch, I am so lying right now, and spend time with Gins. God I'm dull.

And Happy New Year to you!

Why thank you, Potter! That's nice of you to say, even if you're probably laughing at my poor attempts anyway. Still, your efforts have warmed my heart.

To be honest that sounds pretty much like my vacation. So much eating, too little exercise. And I've had my fill of family members for now, thank you. I need to see my friends! I can't wait to go back to school!

Thank you! I hope this year would be more awesome than last year.

I DO NOT! How can you say such a thing? In fact, I have plenty of love to share to all of Hogwarts!
I'm going to slice a big chunk of love for YOU specifically, and give it to you the moment I see you in school! Do prepare yourself.

Only sometimes, never fear! Interesting things are...well, more interesting than silly journal writing. Oh, well.

I know! I can't stay away from said interesting things because they're just so... interesting!

Boredom, from this day on should not even be an option! Oh, Merlin, you have the cheek-pinching variety? I sympathize. Truly, I do. Put ice on your much abused cheeks now before they swell up!

Is 'yes' the right answer to that question? If it is, then YES.

Alright, I'm kidding. I did, actually, the moment I got home. After that, however, I've been shoved to family events left and right that I didn't have the time. I use the days we didn't have anywhere to go to, to just lay about in the house and rest. I seriously didn't know I had such a big family. They didn't seem to be that many before...

How have you been, Ernie? I do hope you had a good Holiday break!

Please don't imagine me Clog Dancing. Take that mental image and throw it in the rubbish bin NOW. PLEASE.

I don't know what's wrong with me, kitten. I usually like these things- parties and gatherings and such. Now, they just exhaust me. AM I GETTING OLD, ORLA??

I hope it gets better, too. How are your holidays, love?

Oh Merlin. Have you seen them?
Anyway, I never said they weren't included in my social radar anyway! In fact, I'll never say that considering, though distantly, they're still related to me.

How are you fairing, Lisa?
I hope you had a good holiday.

Actually, I really do suck at them. And it's not because of my lack of trying either. I've tried, I've failed. It is where I'll learn, I suppose.
And I'm not saying I didn't appreciate the time I spent for resting. I just hoped I could have gotten more reading done...
But moving on..

Hello to you, and I've surely missed you too, darling! Why haven't we talked in so long?

NO I WILL NOT, SO DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.
