late spring to late summer or rather May 1st to September 1st are the best ones, i like ours to the point where i just sit there watching it until it is dark, i do do that pretty often. and when it comes to taking pictures, well i took seven and every time i thought it was better than the last, but there is no single great point of a sunset, you have to watch the whole event ^_^;;
