That hope is enough to wrestle the last ring worth anything from Malicor. Avalon's Blue Ring flies off Malicor's hand, and finds a home on Josh's, bolstering his power. That power is enough to really put Malicor in his place, and with the power of three rings versus Malicor's two depleted ones, Malicor doesn't stand a chance.
Josh's rush catches Malicor and sends him flying back and into a wall, cracking his head. It's only then that Malicor stops moving, sliding down the wall to lay in a crumpled heap.
