Even after he is healed and his wing is whole again, Avalon doesn't really start to calm down until Henry gives him back his ring. It seems to have a calming effect, and quickly his sobbing reduces to sof occasional hiccups accompanied by a sniff or two. The panic fades and he's left looking and feeling) as exhausted as Josh is, though for different reasons.
