WE LEFT THE HOUSE OMG @ 08:50 pm

[info]lauramcewan:

Roads were SO clear, at least where we were traveling. Had dinner at Red Robin. At Kohl's I bought short all-weather boots for myself, and snow bib-pants for both Karl and Katie. Karl got himself a remote control car with Christmas cash at Radio Shack. Katie used up all her Barnes & Noble gift card from Gramma. I picked up Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" and two other stories in a paperback for Katie to read, and found TWO "Wizard of Oz" bookmarks that I got for myself. One of Glinda, and one of Wicked Witch of the West. "You say WICKED like it's a bad thing!" ROFL

Got a new calendar for the kitchen and one for my room. Picked up a set of speakers for the desktop and a webcam for my laptop.

And in the MAIL! [info]cynatnite, THANK YOU for the dvd. I am looking forward to popping it in very soon! And [info]lolabobs, eeee more bookmarks and two magnets! Thank you, thank you! :D Plus more Christmas cards from [info]batagur and...oh dammit, I'm losing my mind. To all who sent cards, THANK YOU. :)

It was just nice to LEAVE. We were in Freddy's as the last stop to look for gloves for me (FAIL) and a storage container for all of Jayne's kitchen toys (the kitchen has gone to the back room to become a summertime patio toy.) While there Amy Roloff was spotted first by me, and I tried to just pass on by, but the kids spotted her too. I shushed them and told them she was there shopping, not to entertain them or be stared and pointed at. They still got a thrill out of seeing her - she's even shorter than I thought she was - first time I was within five feet of her before. I'm sure she was happy to be able to be off the hill, lol.

Yes, 75% of the snow is gone at this level. A little higher, like where the Roloff farm is, still has plenty of snow, but it was up to 44 I think, and it felt BALMY.

I'm sleepy and I don't think I'll manage to stay up until midnight to post the Secret Santa, so y'all on M&T and [info]starsky_hutch will just have to wait until I get up tomorrow. :)
