and "The Fix" zines make all things better. Feel really good this morning, yay! I dozed off and on with a zine on my chest, but finally gave it up around 11:15pm and was solidly asleep before hubby came to bed. Next thing I knew, the alarm was going off insanely early...

I'm the biggest kind of idiot... @ 09:53 am

Current Mood: stressed

So my mom made me a set of earrings and a matching necklace for my birthday but due to time and stuff, I didn't actually get them from her until yesterday, in the pass-off of meds and such.

I put the earrings in and at one point realized the back of one had just fallen off but I found it right in my shirt - I'd been messing with the earrings. The backs don't lock on very well.

I still opted to sleep in them to see how they would do - sometimes the posts are too long and bother me.

They were fine. And then after my shower I realized I was missing one! I've looked in the bathroom, the bed, not finding it. The realistic option is that I managed to pull it loose while I was toweling off my hair in the tub.

The catch drain on the tub has smallish holes and the earrings are rather big stone-wise so I thought that maybe it couldn't have gond down there, so i took my other earring...

yeah. Now i know where at least ONE of them is.

I'm so very upset - I picked those stones and they were a gift and now they're BOTH gone.

I've a call into Roy for advice on getting into the drain without making things worse, but I'm so mad at myself!!!

UPDATE @ 10:16 am

Current Mood: cranky

At Roy's direction, I got a screwdriver and needle-nose pliers. As I knelt on the blue bathrug, what did I find but....

...yeah. *sigh*

The other one is visible. That's good. But it's in just the wrong spot for my pliers to get it and I'm too afraid I'll knock it the rest of the way into the drain. Have covered and protected the hole, shut the bathroom door so curious kitties will stay away, and Roy will come home and make an attempt at unscrewing the copper sink to get to the space beneath where the shiny awaits.

Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.

Do you know what a treasure @ 02:20 pm

Current Mood: grateful

a friend who will brainstorm with you is? Especially when you feel you have nothing to offer, your brain is dead, there are no ideas?

Beyond. Measure. Is the treasure.

All Hail Mother and Roy @ 07:00 pm

Current Mood: jubilant
Current Music: I Was Made For You

For she had the teensy angled tweezer-pliers, and he had the skill

I have two earrings again!

Media West @ 07:24 pm

Current Mood: curious

Who of my flist is going to Media West and might be able to pick something up for me and mail it to me?

Interesting tidbit @ 10:21 pm

Current Mood: curious

Apparently the tv show "Leverage", of which I've seen most of one episode because it guest-starred Kevin Tighe (It's out on the recorder; I've not finished yet! Plus I have it in the puter, lol) is going to be moving production to my precious PDX. They're going to be shooting the series here! Now, of course, we'll want to watch it for the familiar buildings and landmarks...
