Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

Oh, that 25 things meme... @ 09:51 pm

Current Mood: thoughtful

Well....ok....I'll do it. LOL.

1. I dye my hair.
2. I only attended a few community college classes and thus I do not have a college degree.
3. I spent three weeks in Europe on a tour bus with primarily senior citizens.
4. I have two sisters named Jennifer.
5. I got married in an historical church in downtown Portland.
6. I have lived in the same county since before I was two years old.
7. I was born in California but given the city, I consider myself a native Oregonian.
8. I easily conceived and gave vaginal birth to three full-term babies: 8lbs 15oz, 9lbs 10oz and 9lbs 5oz.
9. The car I learned to drive in was an 1978 AMC Pacer station wagon. Red. With wood paneling down the side.
10. My first car was a 1971 Chevy Impala. I wrecked it.
11. My first apartment was a studio apartment that had one window, one door, both in the same wall and it was an oven in the summer.
12. My first roommate is still my best friend today. We've "been together" nineteen years; I tell hubby I've been married to her longer than I've been married to him.
13. I will be married seventeen years in March.
14. I made an attempt at a YA novel in junior high for a contest, but working under pressure made me write crap just to meet the page requirement. I didn't write stories again outside of school requirements until 2003.
15. My counselor "nickname" in high school was "Raynebow". When being 'online' meant having a psuedonym, that was the name I chose.
16. Rainbows became my thing when I was about fifteen.
17. When I was five years old, my kindergarten teacher gave my my first copy of "Little House in the Big Woods." A heroine named Laura. I loved it.
18. I often see colors equated with names and numbers. My name, Laura Patricia, is rose and lavender. In scripty-script. My cell phone number is yellow. Hubby's is orange. I didn't like that number because it was orange, so I made him take it.
19. When I was in the 7th grade, my English teacher was Mrs. Glaser. I asked her if she were related to Paul (that was the summer I discovered SH.) She said no, but that she was related to Steve McQueen.
20. I've touched [info]splix's hand, which has touched Dave Matthews' hand. ***faints***
21. My father was a truck driver.
22. Until SHarecon 08, I had never been on the east coast except a short layover in New York at JFK on my way to Europe.
23. I got my online job by sheer luck of being in the right place at the right time, knowing the right people at the right moment. I got my second online job because people knew me from the first job.
24. Second grade was horrible with a horrible teacher. My two youngest got the best second grade teacher and I spent a lot of time volunteering in her class to make up for my own bad year.
25. I have always felt younger than I actually am.

Yanno, I'm sure I'll think of far more fascinating things later when I'm not trying to come up with anything. :D

Off to bed with my zine.
