Damn, but I need it to be Friday.

Things are going ok, but it's been a little bit of a stressful week. I just want to sit and read. Or watch tv. I don't want to think and plan and do. Grar. My deepest, truest apologies for any fuckups I may have made this week or snippiness on my part.

Roy has been home late every night this week due to the auditors doing their annual thing. He thinks he'll have to go in tomorrow, too, but he's also maybe promising me a movie and dinner tomorrow. I really want a McMenamin's Ruby Ale.

We're trying to trim the montly expenses where we can. That includes the planning of meals and a shopping list for it. Katie did very well this past week, and I've done the grocery store shopping today . I bought meats on Buy One Get One Free so we have well over a week's worth of that. She's already planning spaghetti night and chili night; now she has other things to work with.

My cooking is pretty simple. Nothing fancy, so we just need basics, really. I did some shopping over at the Grocery Outlet, too, which can be awesome when buying canned goods.

Elsewhere -- I called Verizon today to drop the Movie package we have at $13/mo. It includes Showtime which means we lose United States of Tara and Diary of a Call Girl, but I have my ways. Turns out they were able to rebundle us, give us all the HD channels we currently are told we're not subscribed to, and with still dropping the Movie package, it brought our costs DOWN by $20. I was just looking to cut $13! So yay, win. Plus we get three months of another $25 in discounts, so there's an additional $75.

We're also messing with our alarm company. They're making us offers, we'll discuss what we want to do.

The date night tomorrow night will be done with movie passes we'd been given as gifts. Dinner will still cost us, but it's date night. :)

My father died seven years ago today. He's still with me, though. Waiting for a message this year.

With Jayne, summer 2001.
