We're here. We've seen my grandparents and briefly my stepmother, and that's all.

No one is answering phones. No one is calling back. Sometimes the phone calls won't go through.

Roy tried my baby uncle and got him -- at the movie theater. *facepalm*

No idea what may be happening tomorrow, where, or when.

At least I have internet here at the motel, stealth mode. (Motel has wireless broadband but isn't advertising it. I think it's so they don't have to field complaints if the signal's crappy, lol.)

We did have a nice short visit with my grandparents. Couldn't reach them initially - turns out he has a sore between his toes and it seemed to be a problem today, and his doctor couldn't see him, so they told him to go to the ER so a doctor could look at it. My stepmother drove them. My grandmother has slept in her hearing aid so she could hear my grandfather if he needed help and that gave her some sort of sore or infection, and she can't wear it, so she didn't hear her cell phone ring. We decided jsut to drive over after letting the kids play on the beach a bit and they had just gotten back. *sigh* He's looking very frail and hunched, he's talking and joking and otherwise himself, but it breaks my heart to see him so fragile and having to use a tissue to wipe the bit of spittle that leaks out the side of his mouth.

However, I saw *two* Ford trucks, '65 and '66 within 30 seconds of each other, so that's my sign that Dad is here with us all, too.

My stepbrother and his wife should be here now, and supposed to be at my baby uncle's. Maybe they're all at the movies. (and if they are, they're not actually far from us, I think...) My stepmother had my stepsister and the two older girls for my stepbro and I think have been here all week (not sure), and my stepbro and sis had the babies and brought them today.

My aunt and uncle should be here with my girl cousin - she's in college. She was my flower girl. Want to see her! My boy cousin is at some special science or space camp thing that is very special to be accepted to and so he is there - he's been up to see grandpa far more recently than the rest of us (save my stepmom, she came and helped early on, bless her heart.)

I know, it's all very rambly. I'm sleepy and I'm going to work on my vid. That should prove interesting. O_o

The kids are happy - Spike is showing A New Hope so t hey're all caught up in that. We did have a great dinner at the wonderful Mexican restaurant attached to the motel - we've eaten there before. Never noticed the motel before, lol, we usually stay WITH my grandparents! :D

Meeting for 10am parade at 9am, then over to grandparents' for barbecue. What are we bringing? Got me. Will ask aunt when I hopefully see her at parade.

But plans, yay! *whew*
