I am home... @ 10:05 am
I am exhausted. I figure, it was just practice for Con*strict. Sleep, who needs it?
Come home to find I'm on the top ten finalist list for the Paula Wilshe award. I am so beyond honored, I'm all sniffly!
The edits on my story for SHarecon are nearly done. I have a vid I will finish for Sian today. I got a lot done by taking my laptop and finding stealth internet.
Did the Oregon Caves on the way home, and my feet and legs are feeling it! *ouchie* Pictures if I find a minute to download and post.
Have showered and feel more human. Coffee, maybe I'll make some coffee.
A lot of people were there. We had fifteen children - teens down to fourteen months - doing fireworks on the street in front of my grandparents' house. They watched from the window and enjoyed it. My sister sent Washington fireworks down to my baby uncle via our van, so we crossed those illegals across two state lines. *eeeks*
What was funny was that one of the sheriff cadets or rangers or deputies, I dunno - she drove a car, so probably a deputy - lives across from my grandparents and is a contemporary of my aunt and uncle (they're younger than I am, remember, so we're all of the same approximate age). She never *saw* us do the roman candles, lol, but we did get a picture of her holding a sparkler while in uniform. :) We got a drive-by twice from another cop but Travis managed to keep it all hidden. And I was accused by my stepbro of being the adult by getting a bucket o'water, lol.
No one got hurt and we all had a good time.
I got to hold my grandfather's hand, help him with his walker, tell him I loved him, and the last thing I did for him before we left was cut up his French Toast so he could eat it more easily.
I hate to think that that could very well be the last time I see him. Kills me, just kills me.
Off to vid...
