True Reflections

Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

Between my sister @ 10:20 am

Current Mood: busy

and certain people on my flist (stares at [info]catalina and [info]enednoviel, I have been dinking around on freaking MY SPACE.

Grar, lol.

Added my niece and my cousin. Heh. I prefer it here. :D

If you're SO inclined, I have more than one MS page - because of work, truly - had to create one and test it against features we offer at work - you can find me under Raynebow1968. There is a Lauramcewan one, but I'm far more likely to be on the Raynebow one, whenever I think to be there...

The moon was so gorgeous last night! Creepy. And TONS of police activity - lots of cop cars and ambulances for several hours. Must have been that moon!

Just got off a more-than-hour-long conference call, held weekly. Usually we're done in less than an hour. And the equipment kept cutting out so it was hard to hear! *cries*

My coworker and I were moaning last night that the work load seems to have tripled - of course, our pay went up, too, but dayum, seems like there are not enough hours in a day, and you all know that I defend *my* time fiercely - I need my fannish time or Laura is a depressed and angry girl. I have a vid to make with a deadline of next Friday - cross your fingers I get it done. It's STARTED, but so far I've not had a good long stretch of time to just DO that. Give me my fannish space, life! *shakes fist*

Of course, that's just job #1. I still have job #2 and I'm behind in it. Jumping on things there right now before our meeting.

And I have a WW meeeting. Immediately followed by a Yearbook meeting...at least there are no kid activities tonight. Next week, that changes when Katie begins swimming. And we're still waiting on word from Little League on if we're getting a season in or not...

Someone, throw me a chocolate rescue line, 'K? *grasps*

Irony. @ 07:39 pm

Current Mood: nostalgic

So, as [info]thefannishwaldo wonderfully pointed out to me, a DMB concert from last September has been running on the Palladia channel, and we recorded it to keep on the dvr as *something* to run at times when nothing else on the dvr is appropriate or wanted at the moment.

And the day this show was recorded was LeRoi's birthday.

And they sang Happy Birthday to him.

It was his LAST birthday, although, of course, no one knew that at the time.

And the song they played right after Happy Birthday?

"Two Step":

Celebrate we will
Because life is short but sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue,
These things we cannot change

Damn.

I'm trying to find a live recording of the band doing "Bartender" but so far no luck. Rumor has it LeRoi had done a solo of "Over the Rainbow" during that song...
