Grrrr @ 10:04 am
Received a letter yesterday from Katie's TAG Coordinator at the middle school.
With TWO spelling errors - one of which was THE NAME OF THE SCHOOL.
HOW am I supposed to rely on these teachers when things like this happen?
I've emailed her. Rar.
Dear S---,
I have sent a check with Katie to cover the cost of the trip to *****. She should have taken it to the office; if you can confirm receipt, I would much appreciate it.
Also, and please take this as coming from someone who is a stickler for spelling in official paperwork, and not that I'm upset with you - :-) - but in the letter sent home about gifted students and the activities planned for them, "P---" was misspelled as "P---" once, and "sight" was used instead of "site" with regards to the H*** Field Station.
While I realize homonym errors happen, it's still a bit disconcerting to see such errors come from the very teachers I'm relying on to teach my children these basics. I'm happy to be a proofreader if it would help! :-) And that's a serious offer, truly, I am willing to help.
Thanks so much,
Laura
