Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

So, without getting into detail I can't share anyway, let's just say a car company that is doing a sponsored project with us needed questions to be asked of the community, only they weren't sure what sort of questions to ask.

I throw out five or six for the certain subjects they'd offered, and sent them off as examples.

They liked MINE. "Fantastic". OMG. Those are the questions they want to use.

*blink* That makes me feel....wow!

Have fallen into that "zone" of "get things done". I'm nearly done with a spreadsheet project that I can report on at the offices, and I need to still mark down what it is that I do (that's hard, believe it or not - I go blank - What DO I do?) and do an eval of a competing site. So, those last two things tomorrow, plus packing, hair color, and adding some songs to my mp3 player. My plane leaves Portland at 8am and I go to Seattle first, change planes, and fly to San Fran. Ah, Sunday travel...

[info]sjames_centre turned me on to the sweetest, prettiest song and I've fallen into "play on repeat" land with it. And I need to get a vid done for the Advent Calendar and I can't decide what to do from my "list as long as my arm". I'm not sure too angsty would go over well, or sad; I'm thinking maybe quicker/jazzier/dancier, but I'm not in the headspace for it. At any rate, nothing is happening until after this darned trip and the election, when hopefully work will chill down a touch.

Katie had her first middle school conferences. She's actually doing really well. Her algebra class, which they say is actually a high school course, she's nearly got an A except she's missing three assignments. Those will be done this weekend. All her teachers like her; she's just a bit sloppy on getting assignments either done or turned in on time. But all her grades are otherwise good, except PE - she needs to participate more. :)

OK, so... @ 10:32 pm

Current Mood: amused

for the MOST part, I keep the politics out of my LJ, regardless of the fact that it is, indeed, MY LJ and I can post whatever I want in it. Still, I played with fire once and that didn't turn out SO well, so, for the MOST part, I keep politics out of my LJ.

Still, THIS is just too much idiocy to let slide by without mention. I mean, REALLY? REALLY?
