Ten million virtual points for anyone who can name that song and/or the artist without Googling. And I will know if you did. I'm a mom. I'll know.

Trip was ok. I could have not gone and not cared. Still nice to see everyone, though - some of our contractors are new since the last trip so to see faces to names was great. Helped pull off a surprise triple baby shower for three pg coworkers. My roomie and I had been given a handicapped-accessible hotel room (we didn't ask for it, just got it) and so we had lots of space - everyone but two folks managed to bring us their gifts to hide in the room. Monday night one dashed hers over while her pg roomie was in the shower, and Tuesday morning, one brought hers at 6:15 while HER pg roomie was in the shower! Then my boss was running late to come GET all this stuff, and our room was right next to the hotel restaurant where we were all having breakfast, so my roomie, a coworker, and I grabbed them all, snuck past the restaurant and into the elevator, downstairs, the doorman opened the door for us without batting an eye, and Boss pulled up RIGHT THEN, and we threw it all in the back and she tore away while we three ran back into the hotel and upstairs for our stuff and to act like nothing was wrong.
Had to do it all again that afternoon as we snuck it all into our meeting room while the preggos were off in the bathroom, lol.
We had a fun party!
Flight home was great. I traveled from the hotel with two coworkers who had 11am flights. Mine was 11:30. Got to airport right around 9:30. Walked straight in and up to an agent to give my pre-checked bag, and when she asked if I were going to Portland, I said yes, then amended, "well, Seattle, then Portland." She blinked and said, "Seattle! Would you like to be on a direct flight to Portland? There's one leaving at 10:10." I asked what that would take to achieve (like, would it be more money?) when I realized I'D LEFT MY WALLET ON THE VAN - SLIPPED OFF THE SEAT WHEN I WAS HUGGING A COWORKER GOODBYE as she got out of the van earlier at her airline's dropoff point. I immediately walked to the Information desk staffed by a very nice man, who grabbed his phone book and found the van carrier we'd reserved to bring us to the airport. Talked to dispatch, heard her radio the guy, since she knew exactly who had driven us due to the reservation, and he found it and brought it right back to me.
FIVE MINUTES, people, I swear. From the time I realized my wallet was missing to the time he came back with it.
Sometimes I LOVE PEOPLE!!!
And walked right back to the ticket agent (there had been NO lines at Alaska's desk), she put me on the earlier flight, I got through security in less than ten minutes, and arrived at my gate just a few minutes before they started boarding - enough time to grab a bottle of water for my Sudafed-dry mouth and call Roy to tell him I was coming home earlier. Which was SO nice. Surprised Jayne and Karl, which was fun!
Now I'm barrelling through things at work, since it's my night. It's ok, it's not too bad tonight.
Ahhh...home.
