Still don't know if there's school or not tomorrow. The district website still says info about today. Nothing on the news stations. I guess we might have to find out in the morning. It's supposed to be icy, though. We're already below freezing and today's snow/rain/snow and all the melting snow have made for pretty wet and slushy conditions out there. Hm.

Mailed out half of the family Christmas cards. Roy needs to tell me which of his gazillion relatives get the rest. I"m sorry to my net-friends this year, you just get me on LJ and Yahoolists, I fear, for I am broketh. Do know I appreciate all the cards that are coming in at this address!

It seems like I go on cycles. One year I'll send a card to just about everyone, and the next year I can't manage it or I can't face it, lol. I'm calmer this year but with budget constraints and wishes of cons and Disneyland (likely not THIS year, so trying to save up) I had to make some choices.

Daddy shopped for Karl's Santa gift today so they are now *complete*. I forgot to wrap my BIL's gift, so I have that and those cards to finish, and then this weekend I'll make Roy help me finish up the photography gifts. I've been up past midnight the last two nights in a row getting things ready.

Today I got to the post office by 8:30am, mailed things to my grandmother and my aunt, tried to hit the liquor store but it didn't open until 10, buzzed to the next town on just wet and sometimes slushy roads for more frames, back home in time for a 10am meeting, then out to the liquor store again to obtain my dark rum for the rum cake. The recipe I have says to let it sit for several days for improved flavor - but it doesn't say how- do I wrap it in foil or plastic wrap or leave it open to the air? If I wanted to freeze it, do I wrap it in plastic and then foil? I wish instructions were included with statements like "freezes well!" I don't know how to do it...

Oh, my back hurts from all the wrapping and then sitting on the sofa at the work puter. Aunt Flo is visiting (yay for a short cycle this time) and I want to take a bath.
