Wet roads yesterday, nearly all thawed.

Overnight, snow. Three inches so far.

Kids are having a BALL.

So I have this rum cake recipe that says, the longer it sits, the better it is.

So in "letting it sit"...does that mean covered? Or wrapped in plastic or foil? or literally just SITTING there hoping no human nor cat comes nibbling?

The snow has been GORGEOUS. The freezing rain is on its way and should be here in a couple of hours. Ice on top of snow, whee! And then the rain.

Tomorrow we need to tackle some cleaning chores around the house. Meant to do it today, but we were LAZY and the kids were playing in the snow while they had the chance since tomorrow it will be very different.

Kitchen - good scrub
Bathroom - good scrub
Living room - declutter and dust
Dining room - declutter and dust
Floors - all vaccum/sweep/mop
Walls - a wipe down for fingerprints.

With five of us this shouldn't take very long. (She said optimistically.)

Still have all the books in Jayne's room to go through and choose what stays and what goes.

The cool thing about running the SS is that I get to see everything before everyone else. :D

Um, yay? Zaffino (Hot Italian weather guy) says we could be seeing more snow this week.
