True Reflections

Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

Remind me... @ 04:43 pm

Current Mood: grumpy

of this Christmas season if you hear me overly whine about rain ever again.

It's raining off and on. We're above freezing. Roy has cleared the driveway mostly. The center turn lane on our street is still very high with snow and is basically unusable. People needing to turn left need to be in tall rigs, or they plan their driving trip so they're turning right as often as possible.

I lazed in bed until 2pm. I didn't feel well all night - too much adrenaline and rich food, I fear. Have now eaten and still don't feel super well, but I should be over it by tomorrow. My head cold is clearing but it's draining to my chest and I'm coughing up phlegm. Urgh.

Kids are anxious to use cash and gift certificates but are pouting because I keep saying, 'not today'. Not all the roads are clear enough for the car to travel and we're not willing to take the chains off the van until we're SURE the rain is here to stay - probably tomorrow.

Tonight we're having leftovers for dinner. Don't tell Karl, lol. He thinks eating on food that was cooked the day before is gross. Poor kid. He doesn't know how many times he's eaten leftovers without having a clue!

My mom's friend Carol joined us for dinner yesterday because she'd been out of power for three days and her house was only 38 degrees inside (that's like, 1C or close to it.) Her power came back on today so Mom took her home. Thank goodness we could help her out. That's so miserable!

ARGH Fuckers at YouTube just killed the auido on my "Cheap Sunglasses" vid. You all DO know I'm over at Imeem, too, right? http://www.imeem.com/lauramcewan

What's funny is that Imeem has only ever removed one vid of mine - Lazarus by Porcupine Tree. However, YT has never touched it. Bizarre.

At any rate, all my vids except the Jake Glaser ones are at Imeem, and honestly, Imeem has better quality if you let the vid load fully before you play it.

Sheesh. Am I *really* causing a financial hardship by having that old, old, old song up there? Good lordy.
