Rollercoaster time! And that's before we even get to the park.

In checking with the airlines we saw pretty good rates on Monday night, but we didn't want to buy until we were sure of accomodations coming through.

Those came through Tuesday. YAY! So back to the airlines - to find that our best rate with Delta had gone up about $40 per person. OK, we could handle that, but how annoying, right?

So we get it all sorted, which flights we want, list all five of us, pick our seats, activate the credit card we planned to use for it (it's not a card we use much, just paying it down) and the charges DON'T GO THROUGH.

We get a screen that says there's a problem with the card and that we have 24 hours to call them with a new card or resolve it or the intinerary is lost.

We stare at each other - the card has MORE than enough space on it - and call the card company.

It got flagged because it presented as five different charges rather than one - and it was suspicious as five plane tickets. But he cleared it out and said we were good to go.

but our itinerary was LOST LOST LOST. So I started over...and the flights had gone up by $100 each!!!!

Roy got on the phone with Delta and got it sorted well - they had us in the system at the right rate, but GLORY if we'd waited to buy fifteen minutes later, we'd have been STUCK.

Volatile pricing, good lord.

So now all we need is a rental car and the parks tickets themselves, nothing we have to rush for today.

but we're GOING!
