the tickets arrived! Little cards like gift cards, all with a different Disney character on them. They have been secreted away in the file folder with the plane and room reservations.

I don't know if we'll bring it up tonight or not. Katie's got a friend coming over tomorrow for her **gulp** birthday and staying overnight, so we'll have that extra person until sometime Sunday. I believe they're out of school Monday for MLK day. *checks school calendar* Yep, no school. Maybe Monday then, if not tonight...

Stayed largely off the computer today as I just needed a break, and my house needed some attention. Worked on the work puter and cleaned up the living room really well, except I haven't dusted. I hate dusting. Blech. I need a wife.

we got them to talk to us about what they might like to do for spring break, la la, got lots of responses like, "Grand Canyon" and "Great Wolf Lodge" and even Disneyland, Hawaii, and Florida.

At the point we revealed the tickets, Karl managed to *right then* say "If we were gone a whole week, the cats would die" which set Jayne into tears at that very moment. He is SUCH A BROTHER. So instead of the cheers I'd imagined, we had Jayne sobbing. Oy.

We had to reassure her for the next ten minutes that no, the cats wouldn't die, we wouldn't do such a thing, someone will come check in on the cats while we're gone, goodness. I think she's calmer now. And Katie wants to send THREE HUGE THANK YOUS from the kids to the silent friend who gave us a place to stay. :-)

So now to tell the famly - we'd literally just kept it quiet unti we told the kids so there weren't any inadvertent slipups. Now we're good to go.

I have a headache. Again. Damned sinuses. What's allergies like in Orlando? I have my Nasacort and my Allegra...and Sudafed!
