must have been the 24th of January. :D
Swimming lessons, done. Dropped the kids off, made sure they had lunch, and then off we went. A little light lunch at Wendy's, then downtown for LUSH.
Yes, I shopped it up. Bought a couple of new things to try, a few standby regulars, and got a chunk of Alkmaar and a chunk of Sultana soaps, for they are THE WIN of soaps in my Lush book.
Plus, their Christmas gift boxes were 75% off, so I managed to get FIVE items for about...nine bucks. Yeah. :D :D :D Plus the clerk gave me a little party bubble bar for my birthday for free!
Headed out to see Milk.
Damn. I left in tears. I can't believe we're STILL fighting this crap thirty years later.
The performances were mindbogglingly outstanding. It deserves ever Oscar nomination it gets and had better win some. Amazing. See it, but take tissues.
Then off to dinner. Olive Garden for the win! Had awesome salad, awesome appetizers (stuffed mushrooms OMG), a Limoncello Lemonade (OMG) (and they brought me a second one on the house because the bar made it twice by mistake) and I had the eggplant parmagian (OMG). I couldn't finish so I have the most spectacular lunch waiting for me tomorrow.
Swung by the AT&T store to fix an error on our bill and that was done well and quickly, and then off to Everyday Music to see if I could find any Eric Hutchinson. Nope. They had NONE, which either surprised me or didn't surprise me --- the albums are so good no one is selling them to used stores, or they're flying out the door as soon as they hit. But they didn't even have a slot for him. Odd. I did find Death Cab for Cutie's "Something About Airplanes" and Roy found an awesome Johnny Cash.
Came home to find my David Soul cd from
See my Lush up there? Yeah, three more chunks of Alkmaar --- WIN!!! Thank you SO much, both of you! Made my day! And
So now I'm stuffed full, can't eat any of the chocolate mayonnaise cake with cherry filling my mom made me yesterday (that'll be tomorrow's treat, hee) I have new music (I need to re-connect my external drive to rip the cds!) and yummy bath stuff galore (and there was a 15% off coupon in the Christmas box, whee! Shopping, lol!) and I'm tired, but it's a good tired.
Do go see Milk. Sean Penn made you forget he was Sean Penn. Actors who do that are so incredible to me.
