This is the weekend I'm usually up north at the show - tonight's show, in fact - but because I went to SHarecon we opted to not push ourselves and try to squeeze that in too - expected costs and childcare and sheer exhaustion combined to seal that decision.

Still, when I saw the setlist for Friday night's show appear on dancing_nancies, and saw what they opened with, I choked up.

Gorge is the first show since LeRoi's funeral. He hadn't been playing with them all summer due to his accident, but of course, we all expected he would eventually return. The folks at antsmarching.org and the Warehouse board devised a memorial plan for the fans attending the Gorge shows, involving dark sunglasses and white lights after the last song, prior to the encore, with the crowd singing different LeRoi-known song bits before the band returned for encore.

The setlist opened last night with Bartender:

Last night's song bit was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Yeah. I hope I can find a torrent of the show (help, it's been a long time since I've done that!) or a YouTube clip of it. *goes to search*
