My period started....Sunday? But yesterday, and then with GUSTO today, the flow really decided to...well, flow.

This afternoon I soaked through two pads in the space of three hours. I have a super plus tampon in PLUS a pad, too. And I only use maxi pads.

But I've felt wiped all day - fell asleep on the sofa watching Bones this morning, dozing off in the recliner just now. My brain isn't too foggy, but I can't stay awake! I think I'm heading for bed shortly - snuggle down with a zine and just let myself go.

What is it with this crazy heavy flow, though? I'm not on the pill, so I know that that would make it less heavy, but I'm also not having cramps, and don't care that my period isn't regular, so no worries there. This one is actually on *time* in the grand scheme of things. I thought the lighter flow earlier in the week meant it would be light all around. WRONG, lol.

This must be some hormonal thing, getting ready for menopause, perhaps? This forty year old body is so done having babies, man.
