Sexuality: Absolutely straight. Jade doesn't have a lot of experience with the opposite sex, but she's dated a few boys in the past, mostly those she's met while attending Quodpot events with her father, though he certainly doesn't know about that, because he'd probably kill those boys if he did know. But Jade has never been even remotely interested in girls in that way. And she doesn't date very often, nor does she really have much sexual experience. She's kissed a couple of boys, but she's never gone beyond that with anyone and the only relationship she's had was with a boy who is actually... not straight and who barely touched her, which has affected her confidence when it comes to boys.
Significant Others: None at present. She does have an ex-boyfriend who turned out to be gay. Their relationship wasn't very physical and she does have some confidence issues when it comes to dating as a result.

Emily VancampPhysical description:Most everyone would agree that Jade is pretty. She has long dark blonde/light brown hair that falls past her shoulders and hazel eyes that can appear more brown, blue, or green, depending on what she is wearing. She's average height and weight for her age, not too tall or too skinny and her style is pretty simple - she dresses herself pretty conservatively most of the time, preferring jeans and a simple sweater or t-shirt to anything overly girlish or fancy.
Jade could easily be regarded as a tomboy, but just because she doesn't spend an insane amount of time on her appearance doesn't mean she doesn't want to be seen as a girl. She just doesn't see the point to spending hours on your hair and makeup when you're just going to class. She also tends to regard herself as rather plain-looking, though from an unbiased outsider's perspective, she is actually quite pretty.

+ Jade has an ex-boyfriend who is gay. This is not necessarily common knowledge and
she doesn't hold any grudges, but she isn't the most confident about dating as a result.
+ Jade doesn't agree with her family's elitist ideals. She's careful about who she voices that opinion around. It's the one thing she's not openly outspoken about. At school, though, she definitely doesn't join in on the Muggle-bashing. She's just not obvious about her friendships with those who are less than pure.

Detailed Personality:
People often make the mistake of thinking that Osborns tend to be sensitive pushovers, but those people have obviously never met Jade. She's about as far from the typical stereotypes for Osborn as you can get. Oh, she's fair and believes in giving people a chance, but she's not afraid to be blunt when it comes to knocking some idiot down a peg or two and she's definitely not one to back down in an argument when she knows she is in the right. She hates injustice and she works hard to fight for the people and causes she believes in. She tries to bring an intense level of passion and commitment to the things she believes in.
Jade is a firm believer in following the rules and she's not afraid to reprimand anyone for breaking them, even people she is friends with, if they are caught doing something they shouldn't be. There are, of course, rare instances when she will break the rules herself, but it's mostly when she thinks the rule is stupid to begin with.
This isn't to say she is afraid to take risks, because she isn't. Jade isn't the least bit afraid to go after something she wants badly, no matter what she has to do to get it! Quodpot is the best example of this tendency, because when she sees an opportunity there, she goes for it. There's no regard to how dangerous a maneuver might end up or who might be in her way, and Jade isn't at all afraid to knock another player off their broom if that's what she needs to do to help out her team. How badly injured someone might get because of her isn't even a consideration when she's in the air, though she might feel bad about it later when one of her "victims" ends up in the hospital wing. She shows an aggression on the Pitch that very few people would expect from her if they didn't know her well.
Jade's biggest flaw is probably that she doesn't know how to let go of a grudge. It takes a lot to make her truly hate you, but once she does, there's really no coming back from that. She's deeply vengeful and once you've made an enemy out of her, you're an enemy for life. She'll prank you, spread rumors about you, and basically do everything within her power to make your life miserable.
Because she is so loyal to the people she cares for, she expects the same in return. She won't take well at all to find her friends making nice with the few people she can't stand, because she thinks that true loyalty means siding with your friends and always having their back. Even if she doesn't quite return that, because she won't be mean to someone just because a friend doesn't like them. Hypocritical? Why, yes, but that's just the way Jade works.
HistoryJade was born the youngest daughter to a very old wizarding family. They've always been very prominent in the magical community, with a strong history of tradition of good, proper bloodlines. Every male in the family history has married an equally rich and proper pureblood, continuing the family line for several generations. Those who did not toe the family line were disowned and the current generation of Howe children is not even privy to their existence.
GIrls were never nearly as appreciated in the Howe family and as such, Jade's brother Asher was always favored above the rest, being the eldest boy. He was only a year younger than Jade and he is the sibling she is closest to, which is somewhat that has only increased over the years.
When their youngest brother Jacob was found to be a squib and sent away to live elsewhere, Jade's faith in her parents was shaken. She and Ash had never quite agreed with the notions of blood determining a person's worth and while they were perfectly willing to continue their family line as expected, seeing their own brother, their own flesh and blood, kicked out because he couldn't do magic was a bit of a shock. They kept these thoughts to themselves, of course, but Jade couldn't help feeling upset about it.
It wasn't long after that when Jade started her time at Salem Academy. She was happy to get out from under her parents' watchful eye, where she could truly be herself, and it was then when she began to come into her own, pursuing her own interests, finding it easier to express her own opinions and beliefs, at least in the proper company. She couldn't let it get back to
them, but she still felt a little freer to pursue her own agenda while she was away at school.
Jade could fly almost before she could walk and when she's not busy campaigning for this cause or another, you can often find her in the air. She LOVES Quodpot, more than just about anything else and she seems to be naturally skilled at the game, too. The Pitch has always been the one place her aggressive side truly came out - and the one place where it was acceptable to be a fighter.
Of course, there's more to school than Quodpot and Jade is also serious about her studies. She's not an insane bookworm, but she's not afraid to work hard and that tends to earn her fairly decent marks in most of her subjects. Jade found out quickly that she had three major strengths as a witch: Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Flying. While she maintains her best scores in Herbology and Defense classes, her grades in her other classes are certainly adequate.
Despite her love for Quodpot and her classes and being on her own, Jade missed Asher terribly that first year away at school and she was ecstatic when he received his letter and joined her a year later. The only thing better than being at SAME away from her parents was being there with her younger brother, one of her favorite people in the whole world. She's really not quite sure what she's going to do without him when she graduates and has to leave him behind again.
