Crystal has been posting old fic and I thought I'd follow her example. :P

She agrees to meet him for coffee, thinking it safe. After all, it's a public place and coffee is a perfectly innocent thing. They need to discuss arrangements for the holidays.

It starts out well enough. They speak civilly, if almost too formally, planning a time to get together with the kids. "Ice skating," she suggests and after a bit of discussion, they agree on a time and place.

But then the talk turns to other things and his hand lightly brushes hers and before she knows it, they are in the alley, tearing at each other desperately, acting yet again like a pair of teenagers. And she knows she shouldn't be doing this, but she's powerless to stop herself.

She's had 17 years of playing at being a good wife to a man who barely looks her way. Is it any wonder that when Richard looks at her and touches her and kisses her in a way that makes her skin hum, that makes her feel alive again for the first time in nerly two decades, she just can't find it in herself to walk away?
