In Character
Premade: Raised in a wealthy family with clear ideas about what is proper (becoming richer) and what isn't (hobnobbing with trash), The Elitist Moneygrubber is constantly in a state of conflict at Hiatt-Wellerstein. On the one hand, he's an artist, an idealist, a believer in creating revolution. But on the other… revolution doesn't exactly buy Miatas, now does it? Maybe if he can find a way to blend art and technology he can make a bundle doing what he loves--and leave dealing with the poor people to his minions. That would work, wouldn't it?

Appearance and Personal Style:
Garrett is a handsome young man, about average size for his age. He's not particularly athletic, but he doesn't look like a complete pansy, either. He's fully capable of flashing the charming Pitt smile, though his face will just as easily show off a sneer or frown of disapproval. He may not be a large boy, but Garrett has an intimidating presence when he wants to. Hes a master manipulator and he knows how to use his body language to give off the exact impression her wants to convey.

Garrett tends to dress in designer clothes. He always looks like he's stepped from the pages of a fashion magazine - whether he's in jeans or wearing something a little dressier. He's hopelessly vain about his appearance and he always takes care to be sure there's not a single wrinkle in his attire and not a single hair out of place. Appearance and reputation are very important, after all, and he pays close attention to both. He's a Pitt and he does his best to live up to all the name should mean, even if other members of his family seem less conscious or caring about it.

Played-By: Kenzie Roth

Personality: This boy is a snob, pure and simple. He comes from a wealthy family and was raised to believe that they (and he) were better than everyone else. Like his father, he believes in working hard to maintain the lifestyle he's grown up in and there's nothing he won't do to achieve his goals. He didn't really pick up his father's penchant for "slumming it," though and one thing you won't catch him doing is associating with the obviously poor and classless.

Garrett is quiet, polite and reserved. He speaks when it's called for and keeps silent when it's not. Hotheadedness is for uncultured swine, he's fond of saying and there are much more civilized ways to get things done. He isn't without his dark side, though. He's not above seeking vengeance when he or someone he cares about has been wronged, but he prefers to keep things neat and tidy. Mess is something he finds distasteful and he abhors physical violence. You won't catch him messing around with a physical fight. Oh, no. He'll go for manipulation, underhanded schemes - anything that gets the job done with keeping his reputation clean.

His quiet nature shouldn't be mistook for lack of feeling or temper. No, he won't lose his head. He won't shout or throw punches, but the quiet sort of calm he exudes while plotting his revenge against someone or chewing them out is almost scarier than the violent outbursts some others might be prone to.

Garrett isn't prone to protectiveness. This might be a result of being the youngest in a family of men or it might just be his every man for himself mentality. People can take care of themselves and maybe those that can't should be removed from the gene pool, anyway. Weakness, mentally or physically, isn't something to be tolerated or pitied, after all. It's to be exploited in some cases and eliminated in others and Garrett will gladly do either with no signs of remorse.

That doesn't mean he'll just sit back if someone he cares about is unfairly screwed with, though. He won't get angry, but he will get even. He'll react the same way if someone goes after one of his "victims." No, Garrett doesn't exactly care about them, but he very much views them as his and he isn't going to look favorable at someone else treading on his turf.

Did I mention that he's kind of an ass?

He's got an air or arrogance that most girls can't help but find charming, too. He has a charming smile and he knows it. He has a particular thing for innocent girls, too - the sweet, naive, untouched girl - something in him wants nothing more than to exploit and corrupt that nature. The sad fact is that he has a tendency to lose interest once he's managed it, especially if the girl gives it up too easily. He's yet to find a girl he genuinely cares for and it's really nothing to him when they end up heartbroken once he's stolen their virtue. Really, it's not his fault no one has managed to hold his attention for very long.

If it's not obvious, Garrett doesn't have a tendency to see the worth in other people, particularly when it comes to the fairer sex. He has very little respect for women, as evidenced by the way he treats them, and has a difficult time believing they have a purpose in this life beyond bringing him (and other men, pleasure). This is not an opinion that is likely to change soon, even if he does happen to encounter a girl who does seem to have her wits about her. That girl could be more well-spoken and well-read than most other girls, she is still just a girl.

Garrett is a very determined and ambitious young man, too. He knows what he wants and he tends to help himself, no caring who or what happens to be in his way. What could me more important than his wants and needs, after all? Obviously, if someone else has what he wants, he deserves it more, so who cares if someone else gets hurt in the process of him getting his way?

Speaking of Garrett's ambitions, they are big. Garrett wants to change the world someday. He wants to write the Great American Novel or win a Pulitzer. He wants to be remembered for the mark he's made in the world when he's no longer in it. He also wants to make his father proud of him, though, more than anything, and he's hoping he can find a way to pursue his artistic passions while still fulfilling his family's expectations of him.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths: Intelligent, Charming, Wealthy
Weaknesses: Arrogant, Manipulative, Un-athletic
The one thing they cannot live without: His Blackberry. There are far too many connections and schedules stored in the little device. He would be utterly lost without it.
If your character could have one wish, what would it be: Trite and foolish as it sounds, to have his parents back together. He doesn't care that they aren't in love - he wants his father to be theirs again.

Family history:
Parents: Richard and Tamora Pitt; Stepmother: Mari Pitt - The Pitt family has been prominent in society for decades, if not centuries. Between the "old money" in the family and the money Richard takes in regularly from the chain of banks he owns, the family has never wanted for anything and the Pitt Family fortune continues to grow. It certainly doesn't hurt, too, that Garrett's mother also comes from a family of wealth and good breeding. Garrett's parents were never in love, but they made their marriage work for more than a decade in spite of that. The union was purely one of convenience, encouraged by the wealthy families they were each born into, but Tamora gave Richard two amazing sons and she loved his firstborn as if he was her own. It wasn't enough for Richard, though. He wasn't willing to risk his marriage or his reputation, but he carried on a number of affairs in secret, unknown to his family. Until the summer Garrett was 12, that is. Richard found himself face to face with the mother of his first child during by chance and he also found that the same spark that had produced Jeremy was still there. Several months later, Richard had asked Tamora for a divorce and Garrett found himself acquiring a whole set of step-siblings he most certainly did not want.

Brothers: Jeremy Pitt and David Pitt - There aren't many people Garrett holds genuine affection for, but his brothers - his real brothers - are among the few he does sincerely care for. They're both older than him, but neither of them is really protective. They treat each other as equals, even if they have very different personalities. At least the have the Pitt ego in common.

Personal History/Childhood - Garrett is the youngest of the three "real" Pitt children. Those who weren't raised by his mother don't count in his eyes. He grew up just as spoiled as Richard Pitt's other children and, of the three, he's probably the biggest snob of the bunch. He's grown up knowing that anything he wanted was within reach and that all he needed to do was simply take what he wanted. He has always been the ambitious one and the one Richard most relied on to carry on the Pitt name. Garrett loves knowing his father is proud of him and he'll do anything to retain that pride. His first semester at Hiatt-Wellerstein has brought out his creative side, which has created some conflicting ambitions in him, but he's doing his best to find a way to mix his new-found passion with technology in some way that will add to the family fortune and will make his father proud.

Garrett was somewhat devastated when his father left their family for a woman who was beneath them all. She was nowhere near the level of his mother and Garrett really doesn't understand what his father sees in her. A poor barmaid who only has money because she seems to have a taste for spreading her legs for the wealthy and managing to get knocked up with their children. That his father professes to actually love the woman is something Garrett can't even begin to fathom. Who needs love when you can have the prestige of marrying into a good family or when you have to dishonor your own family to pursue that love?

This might have something to do with Garrett's own opinions on love. He's yet to really fall for a girl and he has no intention of letting himself do so anytime ever. When he marries, it will be for convenience or business. In the meantime, he's taking enjoyment from manipulating every attractive give he can into his bed - at least long enough to deflower her. Really, what's the point after you've taken their virture?

Garrett excels in school. He's a straight A student and involved in a multitude of extra-curricular activities. He doesn't play sports - mostly because they're messy and undignified - but he's involved in a lot of other things. He knows how to manipulate the right people into liking him or at least into wanting him to like them and he's popular amongst the right sort of people - who cares about anyone else, anyway?

He's always been a bit of a snob and he's always had a penchant for literature. Studying literature at such a prestigious school for the arts seemed like an excellent plan (and an excellent way to get away from his bratty setp-siblings), though he never expected to uncover such a deep passion for writing in the process. Garrett isn't 100% sure where his life will lead him after his education is finished, but he does know that he'll be attending one of the best schools in the country (he has his eye on Princeton). He's still struggling with the conflict between his creative desires and the sort of career that is expected of him, but whatever path he chooses, he knows a degree from Hiatt-Wellerstein Academy will help him to succeed.

Plot Ideas: Given the fact that he is such a snob, I would love to see him unknowingly befriend someone of more humble backgrounds. I can just imagine the conflict that would come out of that if he found himself actually caring about someone only to find out that they were the sort of person he shouldn't be associating with at all.

Garrett fully expects to be the best at everything he does. Which, of course, means I would love to see him come across someone who is his equal or his better. His ego could stand to be taken down a peg or two.

Samples
First Person:
Ugh. Malls. I really wish they weren't a necessity when it comes to finding suitable attire for the new school year. There are crowds and.. some of the people around those places are just disgusting. No wonder I hate shopping.

And I have a black eye. A black eye. That classless bitch of a step-sister gave it to me the last time I was visiting dad and she didn't even get into trouble! Granted, I wasn't about to admit I'd been punched by a girl, but it was pretty obvious by the way she was smirking.

I should have hit her back. She's not a real girl, anyway. I tried, but she ran and I couldn't keep up. Why am I striking out things that no one else can read?

I cannot wait,/i> to get to Hiatt-Wellerstein Academy. Thankfully, my injury will be healed by then. I can't imagine showing my face at school with this thing. Have I mentioned how much I hate her?
[/private]

I've invested in some of the best SAT preparatory books on the market. Some might say that 15 is much too young to be worried about such things, but I believe you can never be too prepared, especially when it comes to your own future. After all, a mediocre score will hardly get me into Princeton.
Third Person: This is from another game, but it is essentially the same character I am applying for here: http://asylums.insanejournal.com/onceuponadream/86663.html#cutid1
