Reincarnation:Little Bo Peep

Abilities: She loses things easily.

Personal History:
Penny is the oldest of 3 children. She's five years older than one brother and eight years older than the other, which means that sometimes she feels more like another parent than an older sibling when it comes to them. She's closest to Silas, even with the eight year age gap, but she's also extremely protective over him.

The O'Connors have always been a close, tight-knit bunch. They're one of those families that has dinner together every night at the same time and everyone is expected to be there, regardless of what is going on in their lives. Of course, that doesn't happen for Penny so much now that she is grown and has a family of her own, but she's still very close to her parents and siblings and she calls home every day to talk to her parents and brothers.

Penny has always been a bright and curious person. She excelled in her classes in school as well and being involved in a lot of extracurricular activities, graduating at the top of her class and even making valedictorian, and it was no secret to anyone when she won a partial scholarship to MIT. She was nervous about going to school so many miles from home and she was definitely more than a little homesick during that first year, but she was far too practical to even think of turning down such an opportunity.

It was during her time at MIT that she met Kyle. Penny and Kyle dated for quite awhile, acting more like friends than anything else, before she finally decided that logically it was time for her to sleep with him. Their relationship was far from romantic or emotion-based, but it was one Penny was happy with nonetheless. They'd already agreed to see one another exclusively when Penny discovered that, despite what she'd thought was the proper use of contraceptives, she was pregnant. Fortunately, she was well on her way to finishing her undergraduate degree, but that didn't stop her from freaking out just a little bit. It was barely March when she discovered she was with child and she'd just gotten an amazing job offer from the CDC in Atlanta and for a brief moment she was afraid of what an unplanned child would do to that future.

She discussed it with Kyle, though, and they agreed that the smartest thing would be to get married. They were obviously compatible and they were about to be parents. Statistically speaking, a child would do better in a stable, two-parent household. That neither of them had ever uttered the l-word to the other hardly seemed important next to these more logical factors.

Of course, she has grown to love him over the past few years of marriage and raising a child together. She hasn't said it or even really showed it in an obviously romantic way, though. She can be quite sentimental when it comes to saving little mementos of their time together, but even if she's realized her feelings for him by now, she's still not the outwardly sappy type.

Personality:
At first glance, Penelope is the stereotypical smart, nerdy girl. She's always been very studious and serious and she doesn't say much when you first encounter her - unless you bring up a subject she is passionate about. Do that? And she'll probably never shut up. Bring up football, for example, and you'll discover that this seemingly logical and rational girl has a lot of passion running through her veins.

Despite having things she cares about intensely, though, Penelope isn't ruled by her passions. She's full of heart, but she tries her best to keep her head out of the clouds and her feet planted firmly on the ground. She doesn't completely deny her emotions, but she relies on good sense and rationality to make her decisions. She has yet to decide whether or not this is a good thing.

Penelope has always been a practical and intelligent girl. She still likes to read in her spare time, though she would die rather than admit that she has a secret penchant for romance novels. She's a much bigger sap than one might guess. Sentimental to a fault, though it's not something you would know if you aren't close to her. She doesn't really wear her heart on her sleeve that way and only those who know her well would know that she cries at a sad story or that she still has every little tangible memento saved from every boy she's ever dated, including, but not limited to her husband Kyle.

Penelope knows she's smart and capable, but she second guesses herself a LOT. In fact, she's a little bit of an emotional retard at times, because she doesn't always understand the things she is feeling. She'll analyze and overanalyze them to death, which is a big part of why she doesn't make judgements based on feelings. Logic and facts are so much more tangible and easy to deal with, as far as she is concerned. Emotions are much more erratical and unquantifiable and she really doesn't trust them at all. She pushes them to the side more often than not, refusing to allow most people to see them and she certainly isn't willing to talk about them, except to a select few.

Physical Description:
Penny's biggest distinguishing feature is her naturally curly hair. She cut it for awhile after finishing school, but has since let it grow long again. She has a relatively small frame, blue eyes and a beautiful smile, even if she doesn't flash that smile easily or often.

She can be a little bit fidgety, especially when she's nervous. Her biggest tell when she is worried or hiding something is that she'd play with her hair, winding a curl around her finger and releasing it again over and over.

She prefers to dress casually, knowing that it doesn't make sense to get all dressed up when she's going to be chasing her three year old around all of the time. She will dress a little nice, of course, when she's going to be going out or anytime the occasion calls for it.
