IC InformationName: Tegan Frobisher Age & Birthdate: 20 years old; born 15 August, 1988 Bloodline: Pureblood Sexuality: Straight Marital Status: Unmarried. Dating casually. Former House & School: Hogwarts 1999-2006 (Gryffindor)
Occupation: RLA Counselor How are they qualified? She's been studying towards a university degree in Psychology for about two years now and she's naturally good at reading people. How did they get involved in the school? After a couple of years of taking Psychology courses from home, Tegan was ready to put some of what she'd learned to good use and a position was conveniently available at the school where her sister worked, so she decided to apply. If a professor, what is their demeanor as a professor? N/A
Personality: It's often said that Tegan is the "quieter" of the Frobisher twins, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's more responsible or well-behaved. Tegan isn't quite as exuberant or outgoing, but that doesn't mean she hasn't managed to cause her fair share of trouble.
On the outside, Tegan is the prim and proper daughter her mother expects her to be. She plays the part well, as far as most people can tell. She's polite, reserved, well-dressed, well-spoken. Tegan gives off the impression of an intelligent, well mannered, well bred young lady. Appearances can be deceiving, though, and just because Tegan manages to project that image to the world at large (and especially to her mother) doesn't mean that's who she is at heart.
Tegan most certainly does not wear her heart on her sleeve, but that doesn't mean she doesn't feel things deeply. She has strong emotions and opinions, even if she doesn't always or often voice them. They don't necessarily show, but they're generally there, bubbling just below the surface. If Nyssa is the twin to get mad, Tegan is the one to quietly stew while she calmly plots her revenge.
She works hard to maintain her reputation, but that doesn't mean that Tegan never has any fun. Truth be told, she likes to party just as much as her twin does. She loves music of all kinds, she loves to dance, she likes to go out and have a good time. She's less obvious about it and you won't catch her broadcasting the details of her Saturday night, of course, but she's not quite the prude most people seem to think she is.
All of that aside, Tegan is much more open when it's just her and Nyssa. She's closer to her twin sister than just about anyone and that shows when the two of them are together. Nyssa is that one person who can always make Tegan smile or laugh, that one person who usually knows what Tegan is thinking at any given moment. Tegan loves all of her family members, of course, but her bond with Nyssa is extra strong.
Personal History: Tegan came into the world a mere ten minutes after her twin sister Nyssa and right from the start she was considered to be the quieter of the two. She never sought out the limelight and she never sought to obviously deviate from the expectations their strict Catholic mother had of her children. Tegan always worked to be the perfect daughter. She went to mass every Sunday, she kept herself perfectly groomed, she maintained near perfect marks in school and she appeared to never step a toe out of line.
Appearances can be deceiving, however, and this does not mean that Tegan agreed with her mother's rules or that she always followed them to the letter. She merely did her rule-breaking in relative secrecy, finding ways to maintain her reputation within the family and within society while covertly doing what she wanted to away from the eyes of those close to her. Nyssa was probably more or less aware of her twins more subtle rebellion, but it wasn't like her wild, rebellious twin was going to tattle on her.
While Vicky and Nyssa were the artistic ones, Tegan was always obsessed with figuring out how things and people worked. She loved to take anything and everything apart. When school started, she always wanted to know why things worked the way they did. The mechanics of magic, the laws of physics, even the psychology of how people worked were always fascinating to her. Her quiet reputation became further cemented by the fact that she loved to just watch people. It was amazing the things you could learn about them when they didn't think anyone was paying attention and she became quite adept at observing behaviors and mannerisms, at learning not only what certain people would do in any given situation, but why.
The war barely had an impact on the young Tegan. Her parents kept her very sheltered from what was going on in the world, a fact that frustrated her curious nature. She knew, of course, that something was going on, that things weren't all perfect and sunshine and roses, but she didn't learn what was truly going on until she was later able to read about it in various books at school. While she wasn't pleased with being kept in the dark, she does understand why they did it.
Tegan has always wondered why, when she was 10, her oldest sister was suddenly cut from her life. She couldn't really outright question her mother when she refused to give her the details, but she never could understand how it was possible that Vicky could have done anything so bad that she couldn't even speak to them anymore. It didn't make sense, but no amount of private curiosity provided Tegan with the truth. She was quite young at the time, however, and starting her magical education at Hogwarts did provide a good distraction from the mystery. There was so much to do and see and learn there and he questions about her sister soon took a backseat to a million new questions as she took her place amongst her classmates. After all, there were so many new things to figure out and whole, large, magical castle to be explored. Tegan's curiosity and sense of adventure were piqued by these things and they became her focus for the next 7 years.
With her natural curiosity, Tegan could have easily ended up in Ravenclaw. It was very close, but in the end a grand sense of adventure and a firm desire to stay close to her twin earned Tegan a spot in Gryffindor house. She might not have been your stereotypical brash and impetuous Lion, but she fit in with her housemates well and she made her share of friends both within her house and amongst some of the Ravenclaws in her year. She even managed to befriend a handful of Slytherins, despite the rivalry between the houses. Tegan's knack for understanding how people's minds worked made it easy for her to relate to and form friendships with all kinds of people.
Rather than finding a job in the magical world upon finishing Hogwarts - none of the available options really appealed to her at the time - Tegan decided to pursue a post-secondary education in Psychology. The subject had become more and more fascinating over the years and she'd found that she could take the courses from home in her spare time, which made for a much more flexible schedule. While she had always been fascinated by the subject, she'd just had seven years of sitting in classrooms and she was ready for a break from that. Shew threw herself into those studies with even more vigor as Nyssa took off. Desperate for an explanation that was never really provided, but unwilling to give up the contact she did have with her twin, she attempted to distract herself with her schoolwork, taking more classes than strictly necessary and bringing herself closer to a degree than most people her age would be by now.
With two years of university psychology courses under her belt, Tegan found that she was ready to put her knowledge to good use. She applied for the open Counselor position at RLA at the beginning of the year. She's still slowly continuing her quest to complete a degree, but in the meantime she's getting some hands on experience counseling children and she's finding the position even more rewarding than she'd expected it to be.

She's observant and she has a knack for understanding how and why people do the things they do. Her quick understanding of a person's motives along with some formal education in Psychology make her a good counselor and her youth only seems to be an additional asset when it comes to getting the children at RLA to open up to her.
Writing SampleThird Person Sample: Do I have to? :P I didn't have to write samples for my last two apps, so I am assuming the same applies. Let me know if you really need one, though! <3!
