black. ([info]ygnus) wrote in [info]lestranged,
Hesitation coursed through Cygnus in a brief wave as Gaultier's suggestion -- now -- reminded him of his own obligations. After all, he'd only just returned from abroad, home again to an expecting wife and rapidly growing daughter, and he preferred to give them some advance warning of his absence rather than just disappearing for the night. But his pause was short-lived; there was something peculiar about Gaultier's expression, as though he were leaving words unsaid. Searchingly, Cygnus met the other man's darker gaze, eyelids finally lowering when he pressed his cheek against Gaultier once more.

"Business meetings can be very impromptu," he said in a mock narration of the letter he would supposedly forward to his wife. "Something came up -- unfinished business with an associate of mine." A reference, of course, to their previous encounter, which had ended sourly and left both of them unfulfilled. Well, then, he intended to pick up where they left off, and continue from there, in this house, where they wouldn't always have to fuck at such a breathless, hurried pace. Cygnus reached up, placing his fingers against Gaultier's jaw to turn his face toward him, smiling now as he regarded him.

"I'd like it. Leave now, so we can, mm, baptize all the rooms -- and the gardens, which I trust there are?"
