[history]: Amanda Lynn Brocklehurst was born on April 16th, 1980 to two loving parents, Charles and Melania Brocklehurst. Charles Brocklehurst came from a line of fullblooded witches and wizards. Meaning that at some point his family were pure but through generations they had been mixed but it had been many generations since then, in this case the Brocklehurst family still considers themselves as pureblood. Until he met Melania Daniels. Melania's parents were muggle. The two both attended Hogwarts, Charles is one year older than Melania but they both were sorted into Gryffindor. They've known each other for years and started to date the summer before their seventh year and were married a year and a half after they graduated.

Soon after, very early in the morning of April 16th, a beautiful baby girl was born. Charles and Melania decided to name the girl Amanda (after her greatgrandmother ) Lynn (after her grandother's middlename). But the two had always called her Mandy since she was a toddler. Still living in Staffordshire, shortly after Mandy was born, the family moved out to Lichfield, Charles' grandfather had passed away a year before Mandy was born and they had finally recieved word that Charles was the heir to the Manor that was in Lichfield. There was no doubt that Mandy would be a witch. Her first sign was when she was around three or four years old. Being the curious baby, Mandy had tried getting out of her crib and accidently fell out but instead of hurting herself she just bounced and landed safely on the groud. The nurse taking care of her had informed her parents and obviously they knew what that ment.

Soon enough, Mandy received her Hogwarts letter and of course the girl was excited to go. On the train ride there, she sat with other nervous first years like her. They talked mostly about their classes and how were they were supposed to be sorted and of course the biggest news was that Harry Potter was on the train. After a while, Mandy had told her new friends that her parents were both in Gryffindor and she really wanted to be in that house. During the ceremony, it didn't take long for Mandy's name to be called. Mandy walked up and sat down on the stool, fiddling with her skirt nervously as the Sorting Hat called out, 'Ravenclaw!' Very surprised, she went to the Ravenclaw table and sat next to the students she would be sharing a house with for these seven years.

It didn't take long for Mandy to make friends. Most of them were the ones in her own house, but Mandy did try to make friends outside of Ravenclaw, it was just a little harder since she didn't get to see them as much. But as Mandy grew up she became more outgoing and friendly so she could safely say that she had at least two friends in both Ravenclaw, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. As for Slytherin, she wasn't sure if she'd consider any of them as her friend, while she was kind to all of them, she didn't know them as well as the others. Even though at first, Mandy wasn't sure what she thought about Ravenclaw, she realized why she was sorted there. Mandy has a good ability to catch on fast, which came in handy with her school work and she found that some subjects she could just spend hours reading on. Plus the people in the house, she grew to love and would consider them as her family. It was actually one of her best friends that had talked her into trying out for Quidditch her 4th year, but she was put on the reserve team. Thankfully though, her 5th year she tried out again and made on the team as a Chaser.

deeper look
[personality]: When you look at Mandy's personality, you could basically see her picture under the description of a typical Aries. Mandy is a generous person, she puts time and effort to help those she would consider a friend and even sometimes those who she might not now very well. She has both moral and physical courage and will give support to anyone she believes is being treated unfairly. Mandy is a very high spirited girl and very indepedent, meaning she hates asking for help and she doesn't like to rely on others. Mandy also has the tendency to be very blunt, she'll often comment on things without thinking about it first.

Mand is an outspoken girl, quick to catch onto things, woman of action, which is why she takes on more of a leader type role than she would a follower. She has difficult following other people because she has to do things at her own speed. She's quick to get very annoyed and can be very impatient and even real arrogent at times. A bad trait of hers is that she comes off as egotistcal, sometimes she'll say things without thinking and it may come off that way, but her confidence can easily be mistaken for a big ego. Another worst trait is that she has a fear of rejection, if ever she feels that there's a large chance of her getting rejected, she'll do the rejecting first. Why? Because on the outside Mandy has a confidence strong enough that it can easily hide the insecurities that she has on the inside.

There's one thing about Mandy that a lot of people would know about, is that she loves to paint. Since she was a young girl after her parents bought her a first paint set. As she grew older her art had been getting better. Her mother and father often by her muggle art books to help her study and grow as an artist and while it wouldn't be something she would want to do as a living or anything but it's the one thing that helps her relax and there are few times in her life where she gets truely inspired to paint something. The first real time she felt happy and it showed in her paitings when she knew she would be going away to Hogwarts.
