Sindella/Max: Part 1
Cross-team capers were also a great way to meet people.

And alien invasions were normally a good reason for teams to come together.

Sindella wandered the halls of the YJLA headquarters, looking at the past exploits of the JLA in some of the trophy cases lining the hall. Her mother played a role in many of those exploits.

"It was only a matter of time," she heard a voice mutter down the hallway. "Eventually, making deals with hostile aliens was going to come and bite the girl scouts in the back..."

Sindella followed the voice, making her way down the end of the hall to see a tall figure...with no face.

"The girl scouts were making deals with aliens?" Sindella asked, tilting her head to the side. "That's something I've never heard of."

He nodded. "They grew addicted to the ingredients that they use in their cookies," he explained, "When they refused to give them to them for free, they attacked."

"So....Earth's being invaded by aliens that want cookies?"

"And to take over the planet, but yes. The Girl Scouts of America have a crucial role to play."

"That...makes a lot of sense actually."

If Max could show expressions, he'd be taken aback that someone actually BELIEVED one of his theories.

"I mean, think about it," Sindella said, "The Girl Scouts sell millions of boxes of cookies every year. Earth gets interglactic visitors on a regular basis, even if we don't always notice it. And, as we've seen with some of our own resident aliens, most seem to be partial to sweets."

Max was pure awe of the girl standing in front of him.

Sindella smiled. "I'm Sindella Zatara," she said, extending a hand.

"Max," he said, "Max Szaz."
