Test Scene

Martin gives his fingers a preparatory wiggle as he looks down at the table he’s set up in the middle of the room. No place like the Sanctum Sanctorum to try out a new spell. He’s drawn out the seal on the table, gotten all the materials ready and placed the books aside. Theoretically he was just compressing some air to liquid form, but practically it required a lot of pressure. Pressure he was hoping to create with magic, a lot of it.

“Can’t forget the most important part!” Martin dashes over and grabs the top hat he’s placed on a nearby bookshelf and flips it onto his head. One tip of the hat down over his forehead and he’s ready. “Lucky magic hat let’s do our thing!”

One last finger flex and he claps his hands together to build up power in them, once they start glowing a bright blue he holds his hands out and starts whispering under his breath. Magic seals appear and form around the area above the table. As they glow brighter and brighter the symbols and writing within them start to fill until complete. Martin waits for the seals to contact one another and clenches his teeth, now for the grunt work. Letting the amount of magic he’s releasing increase slowly increase, the seals start to move towards the center of the table and the area within them becomes smaller and smaller. He slowly brings his hands closer and closer together as the light of the seals becomes even brighter.

*BAM* He forces his hands together at the last few centimetres creating a burst of power. Now to wait until the magic in the room dissipates to see if it worked…

Still pressing his hands together he waits until the air clears and…
“Yes!” Martin jumps into the air and fist pumps the moment he sees the little sealed cube of liquid.

“I did it! Another win for Martin and his lucky hat!”

There’s more celebration dancing and the next fist pump send sparks of magic out, some of which hit a nearby chair. Well, it’s no longer a chair now.

The former chair looks up at him, “Ribbit”.

“Oh shoot! No no no, not again.”

Scrambling over to the toad he’s on his knees in front of it, hands hovering over the poor thing. “Okay, at least I’ve done this before.” He taps the toad simultaneously with both his index fingers glowing blue. A puff of smoke and it’s back to its chair form.

“Phew, at least Dr. Strange didn’t see that one.”
