Hannah will be turning ten this year and is already starting to show anxieties about leaving her parents and going off to Hogwarts, and the Abbotts are both worried about how their daughter is going to do and how they're going to cope with having an empty house. They've joked a couple times about having another baby to fill up their lives once Hannah's gone, but both agree that their family feels nice and complete just the way it is. Hugh and Sarah still see each other every day at work and they still haven't run out of pranks to play on poor Colin. With Connor and Danielle growing fast, Ellie's really anticipating the arrival of Landon this summer so that she can have a baby in the house again--on the verge of turning 30, she says she needs him around to help keep her feeling young. Being pregnant has, however, forced her to take time off of her dance career, so much of her time these days is spent being a mummy to her two and watching after Katie and Ian for her brother and Liz. And of course bothering Davy to go out and get her food to satisfy the rather weird cravings Landon's been giving her lately.	NAME Ian Bell AGE 32 OCCUPATION Quidditch Player SPOUSE Elizabeth Bell CHILDREN 2 children - Katie (11) & Ian (8) CURRENTLY After twelve years with the United, 1990 marks Ian's last season as their Keeper--unlike many of his teammates along the way, when the management called him in to tell him they wouldn't be renewing his contract, he wasn't upset or angry. Ian was happy to have played on the team for so long, and he's excited to retire after March and be able to spend so much more of his time with his wife and kids. With Katie about to go off to Hogwarts this time seems precious, and he often feels like his son has grown up while he wasn't looking. He's just about ready to trade in his Quidditch robes for the title of full-time dad, but figures that after Ian Kade goes off to Hogwarts, he can go back and coach on his old team--you can't keep the boy away from the hoops for long, and he knows that in a few years he's going to be longing to get back on the pitch. For now, though, he's happy to have a change of pace right around the corner. And to not be murdered again, because he'll finally be able to witness his first birth of one of Ellie's children.

He's also got more time off now (unlike the Prophet, his Muggle publication doesn't print daily), which he spends judiciously at home with his three lovely children. Roger's about to go off to Hogwarts this year and longs for independence and his father not to be around 'babysitting' him all day, and the boy can actually take quite good care of himself, but Sam's got to be around to keep tabs on the always troublemaking duo of Logan and Lynne. He and Ally are going on thirteen years of marriage this year and it seems like her parents have finally started to warm up to him a little now that they realize he's not going anywhere. He still spends days occasionally with Savannah and Giada, but now that they have families and hectic lives of their own, it's gotten harder to arrange time bewtween the three of them.	NAME Tabitha Diggory neé Smethwyck AGE 36 OCCUPATION Housewife SPOUSE Amos Diggory CHILDREN 1 child - Cedric (13) CURRENTLY Despite having been married for fifteen years and having a brilliant son who's now an old pro at being a Hogwarts student, Tabitha isn't feeling any of her age just yet. She's still as lively and childish as ever, although she has improved greatly upon her cooking and cleaning skills through the past ten years. Her father and mother, who would have at the beginning of her marriage told you that they couldn't see it lasting, have finally given up and admitted that their daughter picked a good one in Amos. She's just as happy now as the day she met him, but the house is a bit lonely now that Cedric's at school all the time. They talked once or twice about having another baby, but decided against it--no other could take the place of their pride and joy, and they're not about to try to do the impossible. Because of this, however, you will find that Tabby's particularly clingy to her son when he's home, and she's become that one mum that writes to her kid every day from home.

They've spent the last eleven years living and acting about as close to a married couple as you can get, sans the rings and plus the constant silly breakups. Making that kind of a step really isn't a concern to either of them because they're happy the way they are--and hell, their relationship has always been pretty untraditional, as untraditional relationships go. While at the beginning they were afraid that dating was going to ruin their friendship and mess things up for Cormac, that problem seems to be long out the window--this year they're sending him to Hogwarts for the first time, and not once yet have they found good enough reason to truly separate themselves from each other. Even if they did, odds are that Finn and Joy wouldn't stay away from each other for long, just like their numerous breakups never last for long. While on the outside their family may appear unstable, they are truthfully just as stable as can be. After Finn retired from his Quidditch career, he had no more need for a Personal Assistant, and instead of retiring decided to pursue her modeling aspirations. She only engages in it part-time, but it's something to keep her busy, especially with Cormac leaving for school so soon. CURRENTLY After the death of her long-time boyfriend Evan Rosier in 1981, Cecilia honestly thought that she was destined to be unhappy for the rest of her life. Fate, however, wasn't yet interested in giving up on her. While attending the Death Eater trials following the end of the war, Cecilia happened to sit next to a young man by the name of Donovan Rookwood--his older brother, Augustus, was one of the ones sentenced to Azkaban, and she immediately sympathised with him. The two parted ways after the trials were over and did not see each other again until a chance meeting at a small party two years later. Sparks flew between them, ones that might have even been there years earlier had neither of them been so consumed in grief at the time, and a year later, Donovan and Cecilia married, and the couple has since had two children, August and Holly, and are expecting another early this year. While she still misses Evan and wonders what could have been, Donovan has been good for her--he is Evan's polar opposite in many ways; always open, expressing his emotions, and no affiliation with Voldemort to his name--and she is happy being with him. Having Donovan and her children in her life are what keeps that pain she still occasionally feels over Evan occasional and she honestly doesn't know where she'd be if it weren't for them. Provided, however, these arrangements are not very good on the sex aspect of their relationship. That's about the only thing that Bellatrix will admits she misses... or well, would, if she could still think in terms of time. You sort of lose that when you've had dementors surrounding you for almost ten years.

After the first war ended, things in the household managed to settle down quite a bit, and while she still has nights spent feigning sleep when he comes in covered in a Muggle's blood, they are much fewer than they were in their first few years together. Anastasiya will be nine years old this year and has been showing signs of magic left and right for the past four years--she's excited to go to Hogwarts in a couple of years, dead set on being a Slytherin like her father. The Wilkses never had another child, which is probably for the best given what a princess their daughter is, but is something they never hear the end of from his family. Ives Wilkes enjoys blaming this lack of a male heir on her daughter-in-law, to which after ten years the responses are no longer neither tactful nor polite.	NAME Juliet Nott neé Dearborn AGE 29 OCCUPATION Socialite SPOUSE Rhys Nott CHILDREN 2 children - Aemelia (10) & Evan (10) CURRENTLY Rhys and Juliet got engaged (or didn't, as her version of the story goes) in July of 1979 and married in December (which a pesky piece of paper manages to stop her from denying). Caradoc's disappeareance less than a month later was a hard blow to take and she and Rhys made the decision to remove themselves from England and move to France instead. To Juliet, this was a way to escape the memories of her brother, but to Rhys it was a way to remove them from the Death Eaters and hopefully grant them an inch of safety from the ramifications of Caradoc's betrayal of Voldemort. Either way, it was a good decision--after Juliet found out she was carrying twins, she didn't need the extra stress of being around things that reminded her of her brother, and being away from Voldemort made hope that Aemelia and Evan would not be put in jeopardy. Despite what she will tell you, Juliet actually does like being a mother; at least the part where she gets to stay home and make them into her little minions who do her bidding in annoying their father at every turn. It may have taken her a while, but Juliet's gotten used to the idea of being a parent. Having two little carbon copies of herself running around makes the world a damn better place, as far as she's concerned.
NAME Brianna Sloper neé O'Hara AGE 29 OCCUPATION Healer SPOUSE Zachary Sloper CHILDREN 5 children - Jack (8), Keiran (6), Léa (4), Morgan (2), & Nathaniel (2) CURRENTLY Unlike most girls that get pregnant outside of wedlock, the news of her son's imminent arrival into the world wasn't that big of a stress for Brianna to take. Ask her why and she'll tell you that she already knew that she was going to marry Zach someday, and all Jack was doing was telling them to speed it along a little bit. After his birth, the Slopers did finally get married, and within the span of a decade managed to create a rather large family, bring four other children into their lives before making a definite final decision that the madness had to stop. Having so many different personalities in one household provides for an amusing dynamic and Brianna's found that one of her favorite things to do is just sit back and watch her husband and children exchange conversation and mess around with each other--add the Finnegan clan into this equation and things get even more interesting, if it were even possible. If she has one regret, it is that her career doesn't permit her enough time at home; she loves that Zach is so into being such an involved father, but she wishes sometimes the positions were flipped and she could be the one that spent all day, every day with their kids.	NAME Naija Patil neé Dassi AGE 34 OCCUPATION Healer SPOUSE Priyaranjan Patil CHILDREN 2 children - Padma (9) & Parvati (9) CURRENTLY With the kind of craziness that has encompassed the last nine years of the Patils' lives, to outside eyes it may be a bit of a wonder that Priyaranjan and Naija are still together. After the unthinkable (and dreaded, on her part) happened and they found out they were having twins, their lives were turned upside down. Although Naija took two years off of being a healer to take care of her new daughters, the Patils lives were still hectic, keeping up with the rapidly growing Padma and Parvati and trying to manage full family time in a dynamic where the father was nearly never at home. When she went back to work in 1982, giving her sister Leena all babysitting duties, things got even more difficult. But anyone who knows the Patils will know that the secret to their family being successful that there's plenty of love to go around. Priyaranjan and Naija may not see their children (or each other, on some days) as often as they would like, but they've always made sure Padma and Parvati know their parents love them, despite the conflicting love of two very demanding careers.

She reverted back into her party girl lifestyle for several years following Orpheus' sentencing, until 1984, when she found out she was pregnant. Given that her husband is in prison, it's quite obvious that Sasha is not her 'father's' child, but her mother gave her the Travers name and she currently functions as heir to that estate. Surprisingly, since Sasha was born, Juliana has been much more oriented around the home, and doesn't go out and party like she used to. She has taken up the motherly role in her own way and her daughter drives away the loneliness that she suffered from before.
