KEVIN ENTWHISTLE
Personality: On spot, intelligent, a little arrogant and quick-witted. Those are the words to describe Kevin Entwhistle. To top it off, Kevin is very opinionated, and if you don’t know him well, he comes off as being smug and pretentious. A lot of people describe him as smarmy because he feels the need to make his opinion heard. He's also very blunt with how he expresses himself, especially when he thinks others are in the wrong. He loves arguing and participating in debates. To him it is all in good fun and never tries to offend anyone, but he will never back down from a challenge of brains and wit. He can wear people out with his need to understand and make sense of other’s ideas and figure out situations.
He likes knowing that he's a strong young man, despite his somewhat small body mass. Kevin likes to think that he could do things to change the world and he does things based on an act of random kindness, whether it be simply handing someone a pencil or a ear. He's also a halfblood with a muggleborn parent and that in itself is a feat to over come, which he has made it his mission in life to prove he's worth something. Kevin's not clever for nothing, but he acts just like every other Joe in the world. He can be sexist and brutish, even rude if under certain circumstances.
But I'd say, to sum him up that he's a pretty good guy with a bad boy streak from time to time.
Background: Gavin Entwhistle met a striking woman while he was on vacation in Ireland; Ciara Gillpatrick. However, as we all know the Irish and Scottish have things against each other. The match was not one made in any kind of the word meaning "Heaven". Their relationship went through three years of dating before randomly getting married to prove their opinion and point. After that the concerned parties, which was their families, decided to finally drop the issues they had as they were well worn down from fighting with the two.
Kevin's parents brought him up to be just as opinionated, because of the problematic background his accent always sounded a little strange. Being that his mother was muggleborn, he knew that would be probably annoying to most people after his father told him about what it meant. Kevin wanted to prove that he was above that and definitely more useful, so he became what every Ravenclaw loves to be; Intelligent. He spent his summers at the muggle libraries, not really caring about if someone saw him as he wasn't raised to care about the opinions of others because he had his own.
When it came time for Hogwarts, his parents were always busy. Although, his mother was the basic supporter being a lawyer and all, Kevin's father was a musician for local pubs. So, he was brought up to be creative, yet disciplined, by the time came for school. Kevin was so happy to be place in Ravenclaw and in his fifth year, he even became prefect. He's also managed to make quite a few friends along the way, his best mate, Stephen Cornfoot. Then there is the rest..
