Is it the centipede or the millipede that's poisonous?

Centipede, I believe. It's the one that looks creepy and evil. Millipedes are just small and many-footed and cute, whereas centipedes have that antenna and long leg thing going on.

Do you have a centipede and millipede problem?

Centipedes are poisonous, but millipedes can be irritating and cause allergic reactions in some people.

So... no eating them. Got it. What about spiders? What spiders are poisonous?

Most common and most likely to find in your house? Huntsman spider, brown recluse spider, mouse spider, black widow spider, hobo spider, grass spider, black house spider, wolf house spider, female trap-door spider, Saint Andrew's cross spider, and garden orb-weaving spider. Also the yellow (gold) sac spider and the red legged spider, but I don't know if they're as common in houses. Not all of those are necessarily deadly or especially harmful (or toxic) to people (like the grass spider or the huntsman spider), but they are venomous and you still don't want to get bitten by one anyway.

Hm... that's a lot of spiders to not eat.

I don't think it's generally recommended to eat spiders, but spiders excrete their poisons by biting so I'd imagine the meat aspect of the spider wouldn't be poisonous. Even so, it's probably not worth the risk to chance it and find out if it's true or not.

Yeah. Maybe we'll just stick to moths and those fluttery bugs.
