History: Given the choice between New Genesis and Earth, Scott and Barda chose to make Earth their own, settling down there to raise a family.  Their daughter, named for Scott's mother, was a flower of peace and love almost from the moment she could talk.  Though both parents took an equal hand in raising her and teacher her their ideals of freedom and peace and life, Avia bonded more closely with her father, developing a more non-aggressive and even Hippie-ish set of ideals that occasionally brought up frustration in her mother, but ultimately, she couldn't have asked for a better childhood, one entirely free of the conflict and strife that her parents had endured.  She simply preferred to think, rather than fight, her way out of most situations.

Avia learned escapology from her father as soon as she was old enough, working her way up to an assistant in his act before being allowed to contribute performance pieces of her own.  She developed into quite the showman, knowing how to work a crowd like almost nobody else and how to give them the show they wanted, with just the right about of tease and action.  As her father began to step down his own act and schedule, Avia began increasing hers, doing opening acts for various musical groups and other shows, and eventually graduated to her own complete show by the time she was 18.

Avia took a brief absence from touring (approximately six months or so) in order to travel with the Forever People.  In contrast to her usual nature, she'd been less than forthcoming with the details of what went on during that time period, other than briefly mentioning that she lost her virginity to Serifan.  Upon her return to Earth, she resumed touring and joined the Young Justice League.

A free-spirit if ever there was one, Avia uses her touring to promote a wide variety of social causes and donates much of the profits from touring and the associated merchandise to those causes.  Though not always consistent, Avia's speech patterns can frequently be described as "cosmic hippie."

Powers: As a New God of New Genesis, Avia if functionally immortal and will cease aging by the time she enters her thirties.  Her physical attributes are those of a human in peak physical condition. 

Avia is a master escape artist, nearly as good as her father, with the potential to one day be even better.  She seems to possess an innate understanding of traps, sometimes even better than the one who built it.  She has been trained in various forms of combat, but prefers to focus on styles such as judo and aikdo that allow her to redirect an opponent's aggression.

Tools: Avia carries a multi-function lockpick set concealed in various places around her costume. 

Avia's greatest tool is her Mother Box, nicknamed "Foxy Mama."  It can perform a variety of functions, including manipulating matter (which Avia uses as a form of birthcontrol), perform advanced mathematical calculations, act as a sensor system, generate shock blasts (which Avia usually directs through her gloves), create matter from energy (such as nets), create magnetic fields, and enabling her to phase through matter.  It is also capable of opening and calculating the destinations of a Boom Tubes.  It is also capable of creating light and sound, and creates the Aero-Disks that Avia uses to fly. It taps directly into the Source and can also be used to generate positive and peaceful energy.  Her Mother Box is a living computer and synced to her own emotional state and will react on its own to protect her in times of crisis.

Avia's cape is designed on a quick-snap system for easy removal when needed.
