When you were a media icon the way she was--known more for her off-stage persona, truthfully, than her on-stage on, it became rather necessary. And she demanded the best. And her friend? Was absolutely the best.
Successful career, happy marriage, kids who never had to worry about the boogey man called Darkseid ever again... Things were pretty good.
