Secrets
Six months before her eighteenth birthday, Avia suspended touring and left the planet Earth behind, going with the Forever People on a mission the details of which she never revealed to anyone, other than mentioning that she had lost her virginity to Serifan.
In point of fact, the whole point of her journey with them through space and time, was to prepare her for assuming her God-Power and to prepare her for what the Source has revealed. A power which she has never told anyone about, nor had any reason to use.
Because amongst the New Gods, Avia is special. Her father was of New Genesis, her mother was of Apokolips, making her the only New God to draw equal heritage between both worlds in a way that not even her father or Orion could claim. And one day, it will be her destiny to unite and rebuild the two worlds when Orion and Darkseid have danced their last, and guide the two peoples back into being one.
Avia's secret god-power is, in fact, the ability to, in her words, "bring out the best in people." This is not mind control and she cannot make anyone do anything. It is but simply a quasi-psionic means of revealing to people the consequences of their actions and how their lives could be better if they changed what they were doing. It is a literal projection of "good vibes" if you will, that for at least a moment, allows people to believe that they, and things, can be better. Most people, after exposure to this, do change their actions, at least so long as they are close enough to her to be affected. Of course, the truly evil, or those who are simply quite happy with being bad people, are barely or not at all affected by it. Her power only shows them what might be. The decision is always theirs.
