Where Miraculous Meets the Mundane
A large portion of the basement of the Free house was set aside for engineering and practicing stunts and escapes. Not the kind that could blow up in your face (Mom had put a stop to that before either of the kids had come along), but the kind that could safely be done indoors. Such was where Avia Free found herself now. She was only the universe's second greatest (or at least, that's what she told people) artist so far, but one day, she'd promised herself, she was going to be even better and even more famous than her father.
Upside down, hanging by chains from the ceiling, wrists bound behind her back, chain slightly spinning, blindfolded.
Nope. Not a challenge at all.
Unflex so that the wrist bonds gained some slack. Slip her hands out from there. Remove the blindfold. Swing herself up, untie her feet, hang onto the chain, wait for the right moment in the arc, dismount, flip, aaaaaand land.
Oh, and don't forget to take a bow.
"How long was that, Mother Box?"
Ping.
"Groovy. Should definitely work this into the next show. Throw in a few far-out fireworks, maybe underwater too... Say we should get sharks, but that might be animal cruelty..."
