The only thing that kept him sane during that time as his music, still playing the guitar all through the rest of his schooling years that hopefully soon would pay off, finding a notice on a billboard for a band that was in need for a guitarist that he went to audition for. It was not always the best of times between him and the other members especially with one in paticular that he was constantly bickering with, something about him and his carefree nature that he couldn't put his finger on that got under his skin. That still didn't stop him from agreeing with the rest of them to go to America to try and make it big, packing up and shipping out leaving all the past behind him.

Living the rock star dream was not some glamorous tale, the hard work and effort he had to put into it was constantly a never-ending struggle when others weren't willing to pull their weight. Tensions grew even more between them until Kakashi took matters into his own hands to sort it out. It wasn't meant to go down like that and it would soon end his career that he had strive so hard to achieve. After a disagreement that went too far, he ended up down at the hospital getting his hand patched up after cutting himself so deep that it severed tendons leaving him unable to play the guitar properly again.

That dream was dead.

Shortly after that, the band went their separate ways and they lost touch with each other. Kakashi floated around from city to city looking for work. He tried to get into other bands for filler positions, unable to do more than a set, two if he was pushing it. Taking other avenues for cash he took up a couple of random modelling jobs ranging from toothpaste to Target catalogues, nothing to call a real living but it got him by. During that time away from it all, he started to see things in a different light, how his ways were the reason why he was no longer able to play and slowly he started to change influenced by an old friend. Kakashi started to lighten up and not take everything so seriously, enjoy himself instead of pushing himself too hard and just sit back and observe for once. Eventually he landed himself in Los Angeles once again on the look out for something to do to see him through to the next move if he decided not to settle on this place. Time would see if he would or not, if there was anything there to keep him grounded for more than a couple of months.
