I love this site gra super s Slightly inland we found Fern Canyon, its steep 60ft walls covered with emerald-green ferns. This was an oversized playground for adults. We clambered over fallen redwoods, occasionally dipping our toes into the river, before rejoining the forest trail and looping back to our car. Elated but exhausted, we both decided this six-hour walk had been one of the best of our lives. As the naturalist John Muir, who did much for redwood preservation, said: “In every walk with nature, one receives far more than one seeks.”
