Player (nickname, handle)/ LJ: Sands
Email: on file
AIM (if you have one): same as above
Character Name: Benjamin Richard Parker, "Ben" or "Benjy"
Character LJ (if applicable): onthewall
Physical description (face, build, weight): lanky and wirey sort of build, mostly due to his heightened metabolism, it's hard for him to put on weight
Age: 16
Birthday: April 25th
PB: (If using one.) Anton Yelchin
Abilities:
About the same powers as his father, which include:

General enhanced physiology: including slight healing factor, metabolic efficiency
Wall-crawling
Enhanced strength and durability
Superhuman reflexes and agility
Spider Sense and heightened sensory perceptions (includes 20/20 eyesight...which doesn't count as heightened but he'd probably have glasses if not for his powers)

Different from his father:
Organic/Biological webbing: shoots from his wrists. He doesn't need to use the same hand sign his dad does to do it but he thinks it looks cool. But how much he can make depends on what he's eaten and how much his metabolism has burnt through.

Weaknesses and flaws:
He's cocky about his power control and really casual about it so if someone can evade or cancel out some of his powers, like spider sense, he'll be blindsided. He's also inexperienced as a hero and doesn't always take things as seriously as he should, he's still learning how to do that. If he hasn't eaten in a while and is weakened, he has less webbing at his disposal and once he starts running out of the stronger stuff he made when he wasn't running low on energy, then the more recently made webbing is weaker.

Character location/Home: New York
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Independent hero
Relatives (living/dead?):May Parker (sister, alive), Peter Parker (father, alive), Mary Jane Watson Parker (mother, alive), Ben Parker (great uncle, deceased)
Backstory:

The second child of Peter and Mary Jane, Ben started showing signs of superhuman abilities very early on.

He was once possessed by a carnage symbiote, which resulted in a sonic blaster being used to get the symbiote off him. Unfortunately it seems as a result he'd lost his hearing. Norman Osborn was paid to fix his hearing and noted that Ben had displayed powers early on, but the experience with the symbiote had now accelerated their developement. Not long after, he saved his mother and himself by creating organic webbing and being able to support both their weights during it, a feat for his size. Peter feared Ben's powers were stronger than both his and May's, and the incident with creating webbing only strengthened that.

Because of his powers, he didn't attend any day care or kindergarten. His parents wanted him to be old enough to understand about not using powers in front of people before they sent him off to school. Pete sent him to a private school that seemed like it was good about having less bullying in case, and though very smart, Ben struggled in school at times when it came to participating and paying attention. While his father and sister had gotten their powers later in life and not-using-powers was their general default state, it wasn't so with Ben. He'd grown up using them and it was the natural way of doing things in his head, so it took more effort for him to remember what was power use and what wasn't. As a result, he often felt limited and cooped up and school, making it quite hard to pay attention in class. Another side-effect is that he seems clumsy at school. Not because he's actually clumsy, but because he'll make a movement that, halfway through doing it, he'll realize isn't something quite normal and he'll stop himself halfway, usually resulting in tripping and catching himself at last moment. This happens a lot in school and in public. At homes he's incredibly coordinated as expected.

Constantly having to limit himself during days got to be too much eventually, and Ben started skipping class to go web slinging about town in goggles and a red hoodie. Peter caught him at this and his parents tried getting him to stop, and though he tried, it was clear that wasn't going to quite work, not using powers was getting to him and he needed an outlet. Very reluctantly, and after much pleading on his part, they let him start patrolling in the family symbol. Granted, there were rules about calling for help, not leaving the city, not getting in over his head and so on, but Ben was thrilled and promised he'd do his best at the hero gig. He really does want to be a great hero like his family members, but while he does have great power control, he's not used to using it in a crimefighting manner.

Side things:
Ben's been told a lot, all his life, about keeping his powers under wraps. Which has turned him into a bit of a worry wart at times and a perfectionist when it comes to certain things. Which at school only translates to reading textbooks religiously and taking excellent notes. It's the only reason his grades are high...unless there's a participation mark or no textbook for the course. That's where his struggling comes in.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: He's going to be patrolling NY streets
What are you planning to do with this character? Street level heroics mostly. Run into other street types, deal with the problems that fly under the radar of most of the teams. Maybe some fun threads with the other Ben (Storm) for a Spidey and Torch v2 duo.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: While he's got good control over his abilities, that doesn't necessarily translate to heroing experience, which I'm hoping he'll get some of. Feel more comfortable in his skin and get more peace, since not being able to use his powers has been difficult for him.
