He can't tell that she's at a loss at what to do now. All he knows is that he's getting a very positive reaction from her which means: continue. He will take her off his lap to lay her down so it's easier to continue. Inwardly he's deciding how far he should go with the, well not quite, teasing. She deserved something after all.
