Thomas only catches the end with the reference to what they're "really doing". It's enough though. He's found what he's looking for. He stays silent and waits for the two to make their move. The girl is the leader here, and he can't help but smile a little at her outburst. If he's going to have trouble taking one of them down it'll be her.
