There is not Sin there is only Zuul
1. Morgan le Fey Spirit was set a drift lost on the winds after Blackest Night. However due to Sindella's curse eventually she finds her and anchors her spirit to her mind possessing her.
2. However Morgan le Fey is not currently powerful enough to maintain constant control over Sindella but over time is getting more and more powerful.
3. Using Sindella's body from time to time to goes about slowly gathering materials for a spell to bring herself back to life. (most likely acting in disguise so no one knows it's Sindella so they can't exorisize her.)
4. Eventually some of Shadowpact gets wind of someone buying dangerous magical objects. Maybe Cerdian as well and Try to catch them.
5. When they try to catch her Morgan le Fey uses her own great magical power and the magical power of Sindella to fight them off and escape but not before getting what she needs.
6. Realizing how dangerous this is they start to research what it is that their mysterious person is trying to do with the dangerous magical object eventually figuring out it's a spell of resurrecting and reincarnation through powerful fairy magic. Possibly piecing together Morgan le Fey is behind it
